Today is what is known as 2'fers.. 2 parts came in. The right sized, 33mm clip ons and ... my LONG awaited seat.
My first impression on the seat is that it isn't as cool as I thought it would be. But it's growing on me.
The seat was bought from cb750parts.com and fits well. the only...
Thanks for the advice. I will try a screw extractor as there isn't much left of the screw.
Also, I appreciate the words of encouragement. Right now, the most difficult thing is telling myself "YOU WILL be able to put it back together. For some reason, It doesn't feel like I can. But I...
Thanks.
I am only home 3 days a week so I have SO little time to catch up on so much. HOPEFULLY tomorrow I could get the everything off the frame and go to the powdercoaters.
Thinking I'll Powdercoat the frame Antique white and then the Spokes/Rims will be black. the tank, seat and...

Removed Engine from frame.. What a bitch.
Used some industrial purple to realize that it eats alluminum away and makes it look like shit
and finally..... broke my channel locks.
Today, I went to the storage shed to see what to do. I played around for a bit with polishing aluminum for fun and then started playing around. Ending up removing the rear wheel. Got the chain off but realized that the sprocket cover on the engine....
Someone stripped the screws...

I bought some clip-ons for my cl450 and I was told that the fork size is 35mm. Ater I got the clip-on's they didn't fit and when I measured the forks, they were 33mm.... Would you be able to check your fork size? I am soooooo curious now.. Soon, I'll bump my cl450 build...
WOW! It's been a while. Work got the best of me.
I am back though and tearing things apart. Going to keep the exhuast in tact and sell it online! Thanks for the suggestion!
My new issue is the clip-ons. I read that 35mm was the standard size and I bought some online but now am confused.

Ringo. You got it..Great Falls.... and You know.... the drive to Bozeman is a BLAST... What do you say I finish my bike for a July "DO THE TON...Montana Rally!"
I'm good for it. Do you know any good fiberglass seat makers in the area? Nice meeting you. I'll PM you also to get together!
Take Care!
I need a seat that will fit my honda CL-450. I tried my own, but it turned out bad and I don't have proper tools to be doing this again.
the CL-450 is a 1971. Please let me know what you got!
Thanks
Mike, Thanks
I am located in Montana (Military brings me here).... Originally from Chicago!!
I'm going to make a wanted ad on the forums, but if your buddy says he'd make one, I'd be more than happy to purchase
Thanks!
I have a 71 CL450 with an original tank. Any possibility of your buddy making and selling another seat? I tried making a fiberglass seat and failed. I understand common CB450 seats wont fit on the CL frame.
Thanks!
