    1987 KDX200

Very nice score on the 86-88 KDX! Those things are gems, truly the best small/medium bore vintage air cooled woods bikes of all time... The '86 Yamaha IT comes close, and the only thing surpassing it in air cooled enduro bikes is the 2-year-only 1991-ish Yamaha WR500 2-stroke... I'd highly...

The Travelling Gremlen Bell! In Kentucky getting Rusty.

Hey buddy I just now saw this reply, I still am in possession of this and can pass it on soon, hoping to get a few rides in soon though to log! Mom's battle with cancer really eliminated my riding time for the past 10+ months until VMD prep time...

The Travelling Gremlen Bell! In Kentucky getting Rusty.

I just became the keeper of the Germlin Bell 2 weekends ago as it was passed along to me from Irk @ my #1 holiday week if the year, AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days Festival. First ride with the Gremlin Bell accompanying me was today on my '77 Suzuki GS750 corner burner road tripper machine. I'm...

The Travelling Gremlen Bell! In Kentucky getting Rusty.

In order for me to make much use of it and not lose it riding gnarly singletrack on my KDX, I'd need to have a running street bike first! EDIT - GS750 is back in action, the only issue from the last October's 10 day mountains trip was the worst case of hot clutch swell I've ever...

    Aluminum 18" rims - 3.50, 2.75, 2.50, 2.15, 1.85, 36h & 40h, Akront & Borrani

BUMP/UPDATE - All of the 40 hole rims are sold. I still have the 36's for sale, but don't mind hanging onto them as they will all work for the correct spoke angles for Suzuki GS hubs, so I'll probably take some of my spare rusty stock steel rim wire spoked wheels & upgrade them to these rims...

Anyone riding Ohio to Barber Vintage Festival and back?

If anyone is looking to ride from Ohio or West Virginia, to Barber, and back, I'm doing a solo extended twisty scenic mountains trip there this coming week, and riding a direct route back on Sunday from Barber to Ohio. If anyone is able to take the time off, and doesn't mind an extremely twisty...

Anyone in Ohio wanna meet up/ ride?

Also as I've advertised in the past since I first joined DTT years ago, I'm always looking for company to go point our sporty vintage bikes towards the hills and find the twistiest roads... I've got some seriously good route maps permanently burned into my brain, of the best you'll find in Ohio...

Anyone in Ohio wanna meet up/ ride?

Hurco, I think you are just northwest of me (Columbus), if I recall, correct? My buddy David (drey6) I think met up with your crew once several years ago. I haven't been on here much this year as I was totally out of commission with knee surgery in March & then Physical Therapy several times a...

    Aluminum 18" rims - 3.50, 2.75, 2.50, 2.15, 1.85, 36h & 40h, Akront & Borrani

And here's a 2.15 rear match to my 1.85 front 40 hole Borrani Record if you were looking for stock-ish widths, or 1 size up on a small twin with 1.6/1.85 factory rims (difficult to get much selection of good tires for those anemically skinny stock sizes)...

    Aluminum 18" rims - 3.50, 2.75, 2.50, 2.15, 1.85, 36h & 40h, Akront & Borrani

Here's an ebay exact rear match to my Borrani Record 40 spoke front, in a WM4 2.50x18 Record rear rim: https://www.ebay.com/itm/CERCHIO-IN-ALLUMINIO-ALUMINIUM-RIM-TIPO-BORRANI-RECORD-WM4-2-50-X-18-40-FORI/383039246394 With these you could run a 90/90-18 or 3.25-18 front tire and a 120/90-18...

    Aluminum 18" rims - 3.50, 2.75, 2.50, 2.15, 1.85, 36h & 40h, Akront & Borrani

Here for sale on ebay is a decent rear match to my 2.15x18 36h Akront TR, in a 3.00x18 36 spoke rear: https://www.ebay.com/itm/WM5-3-00-X-18-36-hole-Akront-Italian-style-flanged-alloy-vintage-motorcycle-rim/362301688999 Here's my 36 spoke hole Akront TR 2.15x18 rim. This is the same as most...

    Aluminum 18" rims - 3.50, 2.75, 2.50, 2.15, 1.85, 36h & 40h, Akront & Borrani

More pics, the safety bead 3.50(WM6) & 2.50(WM4) set, 40 spoke, one new one used, both slightly blemished.

    Aluminum 18" rims - 3.50, 2.75, 2.50, 2.15, 1.85, 36h & 40h, Akront & Borrani

More pics of all these are on the way shortly, but the wife will be on her way home in 30 minutes so I gotta start on dinner real soon! Hang tight. I also have an old Morris Mag wheel with a Rickman bolt pattern sprocket carrier and disc rotor pattern. Cush drive side had been permanently...

    Aluminum 18" rims - 3.50, 2.75, 2.50, 2.15, 1.85, 36h & 40h, Akront & Borrani

Here's the 2.75" TC rear & 2.15" TC front, 36 spoke Akront/Morad mode TC rims. non-flanged, non-shouldered/valenced, but with dimpled spoke holes (much preferred by me).

    Aluminum 18" rims - 3.50, 2.75, 2.50, 2.15, 1.85, 36h & 40h, Akront & Borrani

Clearing out some shop space, I found myself with double the amount of aftermarket high performance wheels & rims vs. the amount of project bikes that I have... These need to be put to good use by upgrading your bike's anemically skinny stock heavy steel rims to wider 18" rims so you can run...

Anyone in Ohio wanna meet up/ ride?

I'm healing up and soon rehabbing from knee surgery, but really hoping to get out on the GS750 starting around Memorial Day Weekend here come late May. I'm somewhat familiar with those roads down Gallipolis and the Crown City Wildlife Mgmt. Area. There are some good gems there for sure. I've...

Rickman CR parts sourcing, rear wheel spoke hub manufacturer, etc?

Nice lookin' Ricky on the bench! I had 2 sets of high end 360mm shocks to use on the Rickman, slightly shorter may be a little more advised with concerns to chain tension (swingarm angle), but I was trying to reduce rake and trail as much as possible, as the frame is designed for a very short...

Need info: katana swingarm on a gs450

Did you ever end up finishing this? I think I am going to be setting up my 1947 Atlas MFB horizontal milling machine here this January, and I think that is the machine I will choose to use to narrow the GS1100E swingarm. I will make an offset tool bit holder sort of like a fly cutter, but use it...
