I live in NJ and have done VT registration multiple times. Bring all your VT paperwork and a picture of the VIN on the bike. IIRC, they want multiple pictures but definitely the VIN. It was pretty painless.

From my understanding a Suzuki Triple is nothing like an RD. It was marketed as a more commuter style bike. I never heard that about the cylinders. All and all it looks like a clean bike.

Try new springs and possibly a steering stabilizer. Made a huge difference on my RD350.

Re: Yamaha rd350 road racer RD350 takes shorter plugs than the 400. Unless you are running DG heads on a RD350.

So my flywheel fits. But the point does not open and close when I turn the flywheel. It seems like there is no lobe to open the point. Is it possible it is worn down? I have not had this problem before.

Snapped the rings while trying to clean them. Have a set coming in hopefully next week. Finally got the the right combo of point and flywheel but still no spark. I think I'll just get a new coil and condenser instead of fumbling around with the old ones.

Cylinder is smooth except at the very top I can feel a little rust. Do you mean clean the rings on the piston? Like use a brass brush? Thanks for your help!

Since it's a two stroke... check your timing and change those old crank seals before you give your piston a moonroof.

DG's aren't doing much to help low end. The stock pipes hit the power band earlier than most pipes. So for a relatively stock engine and wanting drivability stocks pipes are great. I put DG's on a bone stock RD400 engine but then put the stocks pipes on and haven't looked back. A much better...

Re: Yamaha rd350 road racer Pretty sure you cannot use banshee pistons on a R5. The R5 is piston port and doesn't have the windows that the reed valve RD and banshees have.
