Suzuki GT 250 "Daily Donna" Cafe/Rat-Racer

Tough no progress here, after solving some ignition issues (one coil blew up) one carburetor gave up and flooded the motor with over 2 liters of gas. The carbs where rebuild, one of the floaters sunk and destiny took its way. Now I need some more modern 28 diameter carbs, will get them from a...

There was some progress over the last months. I fabbed my own seat plate for the seat, from generic plastic that was available in the local home depot, I welded the strut for the seat onto the frame and I fabbed a new very light battery tray. Also I made a seat pad from an old original GT...

Concerning your left hand control switch: How did you do it? Painting it black is not the problem, but how did you colour the writing on it without ruining the black finish?

The guys that grew up with those machines and raced them, no matter if in the street or on the track, are the real "think tank" of the GT-Scene over here in germany, I just adapt the knowledge they share. The posted link describes the mentioned modification on a GT 750, pretty much the same...

Since you've already drilled your rotor this would be maybe a little late but I want to share it with you. Recently I discovered in the german GT-Forum a thread concerning brake modifications (http://www.mariolange.de/wbb2/thread.php?threadid=496). I gave it a try myself and got my new brake...

The original performance is alright in my book, pulls mild second gear wheelies while accelerating ambitious out of slow corners. Good chambers are made here: http://www.samracing.net/Index_uk.htm They have a TR 250 kit that applys straight to the GT. You have to consider that the most...

My gauges are from a company named "Koso", wellknown over here in europe. They are both electrical, the speedo is showing the speed digital and the tachometer is showing the revs analouge. They are a little pricey but kickass small, each costs around 100$ new, I got both togehter for around 50...

Now I'm going all the way, cutting, welding, glassing... all the good stuff. Bought a Imola-seat from ebay, fabbing my own wouldn't be as light and as fine as this one. Some bits of the frame had to go, its a first mockup. Also tested my new mirror.

Thanks for the compliments! I spent a amazing season with my bike, went trough 6 capacitors, ran out of gas twice and finally one piston got stuck for a moment. Well I think I rocked her too hard. Barrels and pistons tough look okay, no damage but I think something with the ignition is faulty...

B9ES are okay too! In germany you can only get BR9ES, i thought you still have the stock BR8ES/B8ES. The only thing to be really sure with the seals is to change them. Driving around (gently) and checking the spark plugs is a step in the right direction, if your seals are blown the right one...

In Idle, pushing the oil pump by hand to full throttle the air is pumped out in about 5 seconds. Best jets are 102.5, needle clip second position from above, everthing below is too lean. Plugs must be NGK BR9ES. If your right crank seal is fucked up, so the left one is too, causing too much...
