Looking to build a brat/cafe in Metro Detroit....

Now that I have some miles in my rear view and a daily rider, I think its time to tackle a project. Anyone have a line on a decent CB450+ around here?

    1972 CB350 Parts

Now that I have picked up a CB900f, I have given up my aspirations of restoring a CB350 from the ground up. As a result, I emerge from hibernation with a pile of parts. Some are listed on Craigslist w/ inflated CL haggler prices. The rest of the parts are pictured. PM me and we can work out...

    WTB: Headlight Fairing

So I went away from the cafe style w/ my new bike and went with a 1982 CB900F. A headlight fairing would make it perfect for the time being. Have one left over from your build? Please PM me.

    Need your help DTT friends

Does you lease allow you the ability to inspect the premises and show it to prospective tenants? Making several pop-ins to check on stuff, fix that toilet that runs and show the place while dropping off a rent invoice each time might give them the hint as well.

Just passed a nice Cafe Bike in Franklin...

Looked to be a darker gray in color but it was getting dark so I couldn't quite tell what make. I was on my red CB350 headed the other way on Walnut. Nice bike. If you're on here, drop me a PM.

Cleaning the rust from that old tank

I am actually about to start stripping and painting an old tank. It has a very small amount of rust. Seeing as it will probably be stored off of the bike all winter while paint cures, if I use this stuff, what would I put in it afterwards for storage? I want to keep it indoors, so I'd hate...

    Admitting Defeat....

Thanks for the input. I realize now how obtuse and noob-ish the original post sounds, but I realistically did want knowledge. Aside from some occasional stalls (probably my own fault for not winterizing properly), my CB really hasn't failed me. My issue is really that I bought it too soon...

    Admitting Defeat....

This weekend I was going to pick up some bits to repaint side covers and tank for my 1972 CB350 (I have surplus which would leave me w/ stock parts to store). Before I started though, I had second thoughts and questions about how qualified I am to do anything aside from ride a bike. If you...

"RATTLE CAN" BLING! ...everything is here!

How has this paint held up? Has there been any damage from gas getting on the tank at all? It looks so good!

Before I just drop it on Craigslist (1972 CB350 Frame)

I have sold off a bunch of stuff and saved much of the cosmetics that I want to hold on to. I am contemplating one of two things... 1. Letting the titled frame go cheap locally then selling off extra parts in a basket case fire sale. 2. Finding someone w/ expertise who may want to assist...

Before I just drop it on Craigslist (1972 CB350 Frame)

No interest from FS forum, so it's on CL now.

Before I just drop it on Craigslist (1972 CB350 Frame)

So I finally got around to listing the Titled Frame in the For Sale area. I have a shit ton of other parts that must go. Provided I get near my asking for the frame, the rest of the parts are available either on the cheap, or preferably in exchange for someone who is willing to help me out...

FS: 1972 CB350 Frame w/ Clear Title (Metro Detroit)

As previously posted about I picked up a non-runner parts bike. My romantic and over-ambitious side had fantasies of stripping her down and rebuilding with the best parts from this one and my own running CB. Once I started my teardown, I realized just how in over my helmet I was. So, I am...

Before I just drop it on Craigslist (1972 CB350 Frame)

So I picked up a non-runner a few weeks back in order to obtain a few parts I needed/wanted. A titled frame was important to me because I wanted to possibly do a frame up using the best of both bikes. But... during my teardown, I decided to be honest to myself and realized there is no...
