    69 CB350 - Modern Suzuki Front | Ducati Rear - Cognito Moto

Ok I just reviewed the pics, if you look at the seat hoop, you have the up angle, then on the SSSW you have an up angle following the seat hoop, extend the exhaust out alittle farther then hug it toward the wheel and give it an up angle to follow the lines that you have established and it will...

    69 CB350 - Modern Suzuki Front | Ducati Rear - Cognito Moto

This is only an opinion, and not ment to be ragging on the bike because it is still a work in progress. With that said, the exhaust pipe seems alittle too large of a bologny cut and possibly reducing performance by not having enough back pressure. It looks like you are going with a custom...

71 Honda CB350: Enthusiast turned builder!

I have not used that product, but I saw the heat mat which might work better as an insulator because of the thickness of the mat. I do not think exhaust tail pipes get 1100*. Another idea if you have the room, is have your under seat pan and then leave a small air gap and use another piece of...

Looking good Korbin! The exhaust routed under the seat looks like a challenge, but could look bad ass if you have the clearance. Now for all those raggin on him for transforming his "survivor" into what his vision is, I have a 75 CB500T, 100% original survivor, 5k miles. Who wants to buy it and...

"The Parts Pile" A CL350 Cafe from a heap of junk...

Re: The Parts Pile CL350 Cafe Nice work on the rims and forks! I got sent the wrong spokes for my Cognito hub for my rim, no wonder it wouldn't lace up! Hopefully next week I will get the correct ones and I can finally lace mine up.

"The Parts Pile" A CL350 Cafe from a heap of junk...

Re: The Parts Pile CL350 Cafe Thanks for that frame info. I am doing the GSXR fork swap and running 17" Honda CRF230M wheels. So I wanted to stiffen the frame to help with the increase cornering loads that could be generated. It is not going to be a track bike, so I might be over thinking it a bit.

"The Parts Pile" A CL350 Cafe from a heap of junk...

Re: The Parts Pile CL350 Cafe Hey Matt, enjoying your build and the nice progress you are making. I have a 73 CB350 I am working on also. My frame has the exact same crack on the bottom of the down tube. I was thinking it was a there to let water seep out. If you look up near the steering head...

Hey Tremelune, I am building a 73 CB350 also. Using a Cognito front hub laced to a 17" 2009 Honda CRF230M front wheel purchased from Hondapartsdirect. Found on fleabay a 09 CRF230M rear wheel with disk brake, using 900RR rearsets. I am just starting to fab up hydralic brake lines/ master...

"Doing it Right" or "How to Build a Functional Café Racer"

Stroker, I agree, there is no replacement for displacement. And you can only go as fast as your wallet is fat. So to invest alot of extra money into a small motor and still have small motor performance seems alittle excessive. I am not saying one way is right or wrong, I am a gear head and...

"Doing it Right" or "How to Build a Functional Café Racer"

First off, thanks to Matt, Teazer, PJ and all the others for passing on this info. I knew some of the basics but not the theory behind it. What a wealth of info. We do these builds because we can, and I get that. My question is what is the dollar cost to HP gain to actual real world increase...

71 Honda CB350: Enthusiast turned builder!

I built my first hard tail bobber on a table like yours. When I got it done and it was sittin pretty up there, so I built a ramp with 8' 2x10's, rolled it backwards, rear wheel heading toward the ground and it hung up on the frame. Thankfully the frame was covered and didnt scratch the powder...
