Thanks, I've been getting a lot more compliments lately (maybe since I actually ride the bike now) and it's nice to see that people like the way it looks. The entire bike is 100% OEM and aside from the gas cap all the parts are original from 1974
Guess I haven't posted here in quite some time... Well I made a big move to central AL, started a new job and have the bike finally running the way it should.
Just in the past couple of weeks a bunch of people have asked if I'd be interested in either selling or trading the bike so I guess...
It was great to see her finally run yesterday. This thing is incredibly loud with those pipes but it was very fun to finally be able to ride together... even tho it was just down the street to the park.
Can't wait for the vintagefest, we will 100% be riding there not driving!!!
Re: Sreter's '72 CB750 Cafe Project
That's one good looking CL there in the background...
Just kidding, can't wait to see what other huge changes we'll be able to make to this thing once the engine is running right
Your bike is looking great, good job with the frame modifications!
I noticed you had mentioned using a "4 cell A123 Lithium bat" where did you end up ordering this battery from? I like how slim you electrical underseat box was and was just curious about the specs on that battery.

I had a similar issue with bogging, mine was when I was at speed then after short runs it would stall. I figured out it was the bowl floats were not adjusted correctly. Easy fix, just bent the arms of the floats and tested it by turning it upside down and blowing thru the fuel line to make sure...
I've got the same bike!! When I found mine it was in great condition and it makes me worried about cutting into it. I've had a lot of the same inspiration bikes that you've posted here. How rare are these bikes actually?
I know that I can do whatever I want since my bike is mine but everything...
I ended up using some longer lines and they now run under the port from the carb to the engine. This seems to be working for now. A guy that lives down the street from me was saying I really should be using fuel line that is made to withstand the high temps being that close to the engine. Does...
Quick question, hopefully someone has some experience with a CL200 or something similar. Does anyone know what the path the fuel lines should take to the carbs? I'm starting to think this may not be the original tank because my fuel lines that I placed on there today are getting pinched a little...
So I've been messing with the gas tank today and have come to the conclusion that the petcock is trash. As far as I can tell the part #16950-292-000 should work. Could anyone confirm this for me?

So I have been a long time lurker on this section of this website. I have always loved the looks of the old Japanese and British bikes no matter how much people made fun of me for it. Thus the reason I come on here.
Anyway, today I picked up my first bike and I want to know what you guys think...
Re: Project Cheap Racer (ver.2)
Where did you find this good deal? I'm looking for some myself and haven't really been able to find one's for the right price. I've been following your build from the beginning, just haven't commented yet. I like you bike a lot I have the same ideas about making...
I'm looking for a complete bike. Doesn't have to be in perfect shape, I'm prepared to put the work in. I'm looking for something in Florida that I can rebuild to use as a daily driver. If anyone has one please let me know.
Thanks,
-Ian
