Re: The no name CM400c Build
you could also cut a new float bowl gasket from some gasket material (you can buy cheaply online) would be much easier if you need to rejet
Every time i've gone to reuse the old bars on a build by flipping them, they never quite sit in the right place. I'd say if they're comfy and it works then use them but if it's not quite right maybe some clubmans to utilise the current bar mounts, it would make it look tidier. Just my two cents...
It's coming along great man, what do you plan to do with the bars? I can see you've flipped them, sticking with that or clip ons?

What if you stared with a universal race fairing about the right width and worked it to the same shape?

There are some fantastic roads around Driffield, luckily the roads round Shrewsbury are great too! Let me know if you go through Driffield in July and I'll show you some sweet twisty lanes ;D
I agree, I'm going to say you're running far to lean hence not being able to start and the backfires. I also think your intake valve could not be fully closing, I'd Pull the head and kick it over to see if the valves open and close properly.
Thanks Yorkie, when my wife and I return we will be based in Driffield East Yorkshire. But we are moving to Shrewsbury Shropshire before september for her new job. Looking forward to getting on some small country lanes when I get back!
