Cb 125T Cafe Racer on a budget

I agree, it would look better with the battery out of sight. Anything else planned?

    1981 CM400c Build

Yes that material would be perfect and it'll save you $40 odd bucks!

    1981 CM400c Build

Re: The no name CM400c Build you could also cut a new float bowl gasket from some gasket material (you can buy cheaply online) would be much easier if you need to rejet

Not quite a Cafe Racer, More like a 60s Racer for the road. KH125 Project UK

Every time i've gone to reuse the old bars on a build by flipping them, they never quite sit in the right place. I'd say if they're comfy and it works then use them but if it's not quite right maybe some clubmans to utilise the current bar mounts, it would make it look tidier. Just my two cents...

It's coming along great man, what do you plan to do with the bars? I can see you've flipped them, sticking with that or clip ons? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Knee dents came out good, I was a bit worried when you mentioned the rubber mallet but it's worked really well. The colour is sweet too!

Defiantly following your progress here, when I come back to the UK I plan on building something very similar based on a 2 stroke 125 or ,preferably, a 175. I Agree with Teazer though, I wouldn't powder coat until you have all the brackets you need for your fairing, battery box etc... in place.

CL350 - Carbs rebuilt, new ignition, won't run, huge backfires

I agree, I'm going to say you're running far to lean hence not being able to start and the backfires. I also think your intake valve could not be fully closing, I'd Pull the head and kick it over to see if the valves open and close properly.
