    fuel filters, who runs them?

Fuel filters can be tricky... I get mine from Mike at Industrial Spec. This one has a stainless 60 micron filter and flows over 8 gallons an hour. About $4..Good stuff..E85 resistant too. Never came apart or any problems. The old petcock filters may not catch all the debris..cheap back up...

Totally relevant ..no statistical models for injuries with pudding bowl helmets.. Look up product liability..the tort lawyers keep careful stats on who to sue when someone dies..sad but true. How many times has Davida been sued in the USA? The Brits in combat are moving from pudding bowl...

As for me..no regulation and any helmet I want to wear. Pudding bowl helmets are not a statistical factor in motorcycle accidents or fatalities. Some very interesting statistics were a factor ;D ;D ...read below.... If your going to mandate rules for motorcyclist..it is not compelling.. The...

My point is..wearing a pudding bowl helmet and falling off your motorcycle is not an automatic death or facial dismemberment as riders/racers survived into old age wearing them and falling off their bikes..... No, you won't automatically have to wear a prosthesis on your road rubbed/rashed face...

The "Little Sticker" is not required in Georgia, being more enlightened here than some other States. Lazy State regulators who default to some Fed lazy regulator, who in turn has no interest in motorcycles. That did not happen here. When the Feds mandated the 55mph speed limit on interstates...

Very nice skid lid..and welcome back. Thank you for your service. You earned the privilege of speaking your mind, anytime. I really don't want the DOT, EPA, IRS, ATF, FBI or anyone at the fed to "ok" my helmet. They are not motorcyclist and the DOT would not approve any motorcycle for road use...

The 3/4 helmet worked fine with goggles on a very quick 750 Sport. Without a fairing and with another 20mph on the Laverda it was impossible to navigate at high speed. The full face solved that problem. The pudding bowl helmets were banned because the riders would not change, not because the...

Re: Where can I find a quality pudding bowl cafe racer helmet? Hailwood used a full face helmet because the bike was so much faster. His goggles would come off over 130mph. Its a matter of vision and streamlining. You have a very hard time seeing down the track at 140mph. A full face helmet helps.

At Charlotte Motor Speedway back in 1978...North Carolina Highway Patrol Radar clocked the bike (with an open factory exhaust, open intakes and factory 4c camshafts and other bits) at 148mph on the straight. In the state of tune today..our modern very poor pump fuel, Jota exhaust, axtell...

Bigger? Done. The Laverda is a good daily driver. Nice low maintenance machine with a Witt programmable digital ignition. Bike was set up for racing back in the 70's and I rebuilt it in 2005 for the street. Rode near 1800 miles to the Laverda North American Rally at Mid-Ohio Vintage Races in...
