Gonna shake the beehive. Pods on a CB750. Possible soultion?

I found this thread on cb750c.com http://www.cb750c.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=18989&highlight, and it seemed worth the $8 in PVC to try. Well I got as far as putting the pins inside the carbs before I got impatient and took it for a ride. Now I have a 1980 cb750c, factory...

    1979 CB125s

Turns out that I don't have nearly the time I thought I would for this project, and I don't want to sell it to any joe that doesn't appreciate the bike and it's potential for a sweet little cafe. Located in New Mexico. Make me an offer on it. Shoot me an email, cmfranco3@hotmail.com

    Famous Last Words Redux

Well as it turns out, I hurried through this build like no one's business and now I'm regretting it. I'm springing up problems left and right. Back to the drawing board, and time for a thorough rebuild. 2/4 cylinders are firing, 3-4 have 170 psi compression, 1-2 have 30-60psi. I cannot get it...

    1980 CM400T. Do I pull the trigger?

My friend was junkyard crawlin the other day and spotted this, asked the the yard owner and he'll get rid of it for less than $100. Titles are relatively easy to get in NM, and I have a ton of spare parts I can slap onto this thing. I am actually considering selling my CB125 to a friend for...

    I've been running on 2/4 cylinders. 1980 CB750

So I found out after I put on the new exhaust and fired the bike up that only the right 2 cylinders are firing. I figured this since those two headers were hot while the other two were cold. What could be causing this? poor head job, valve clearance? I checked and I have spark on that side, but...

    Charging woes

Hey I have a 1980 cb750c. My issue is it will not produce voltage to charge the battery. I have swapped out the stator and the reg/rect, neither have helped. Any ideas?

    Exploring La Mesa, New Mexico

Felt like a ride this afternoon, so I kicked over my little '79 CB125S and explored the back roads and canals of La Mesa, New Mexico. I have considered cafe-ing it out, but after that ride, I'm definitely gonna keep it as my little tracker. I want to change up that seat though.. Found the "farm"...

    Be careful out there.

Just wanted to say be careful. If my avatar doesn't give it away, I'm an EMT. We just returned from a call in which we ended up flying out a rider and his wife to the trauma center. I just so happened to see both of them and their beautiful harley earlier in the day at a parade we were in...

My Multiple Bike Syndrome is acting up again!

A friend's neighbor is selling off a 1986 (I think) Kawasaki Vulcan 750. It's in remarkable condition for the price he wants to sell it for, $300. It looks just like the picture, with only a scrape on the tank and a broken turn signal from where he dropped it one time. The engine really just...

    Bad Stator? '80 CB750

It may be a bad battery, I haven't been able to get my hands on a different one to test it, but it seems to hold a charge. My 750 will fire up a few times, and I can ride it the 20 miles into town no problem. Issue is, after start 2 or 3, the battery is drained and won't crank. What I've been...

    91 CB250 won't start

I have a 1991 CB250N that is giving me hell at the moment. It didn't run when I bought it, I replaced the CDI and it fired right up. Ran for a good 7 months, and now after the battery died on me, its like its not getting a spark. I have a spark tester that barely lights up when the engine is...

    1978 GL1000 Naked Goldwing project.

Well I just so happened to be given a GL1000 that has been sitting for 15 years or so and decided I want another big project. I figure I'm going to use Octane's GW as inspiration, because I love that whole setup, especially the seat! I started tearing it down a few months ago, but lost intrest...

    1980 CB750 "Famous Last Words"

Just about finished for now. 1980 CB750C: 1977 Tank Carpy's Roadster seat w/ taillight. Clip ons Original exhaust The clip ons are a bit high, but if i put them lower they would smack the tank and leave some nasty dents. Better (non-blackberry) photos to come.

    Wanna 3D model your bike?

    '79 CB125S - Confused Identity Rebuild.

I picked up this 125 about a year ago, and the thing was basically ruined. This was my first experience with a motorcycle and I had no clue what I was doing. So I did what I do best, take stuff apart! The bike had sat in the spot I found it since 1984, literally had not been touched, poor thing...

    CB125s carb question

I picked up a 1979 CB125S about a year ago before I knew of this site, I had to a complete top-end rebuild and the normal "build" we all go through. Now I'm on the home stretch and I've got it running and everything, bought a really cheap carb for now, but I was wondering if this...

    CB750 Tanks?

What tank will fit a 1980 cb750 frame, with the traditional cafe style lines? The 2 original ones i have are rusted to the point beyond return, and I'm looking for a replacement. It'd be nice to pick up one from one of you guys.

    cb125 dies suddenly

I've got a '79 CB125S that i'm finally getting to run pretty smoothly, the only problem is that once you take off on it, about 30 or so seconds of riding, it will die as though it ran out of gas. A few seconds of kicking it over with the choke on and it will fire up, but repeat the same problem...
