The KZ tank is slightly different, you'll notice it in profile. It's actually a bit shorter than an F tank. They're easy to source but you'll find that it wont be a straight swap with the mounting position of the F tank. The rear bolt mount for the F tank is further back than on the KZ frame...
What commodore coils are those? I'm trying to source some new coils here in NZ and don't know where to start looking. If I search online it's all about using GM coils in America.
So I've had my CB750 for a few months and thought it was about time to look at building it into a cafe racer of some sort. The bike is a japanese import and has done 80,000 kms but all in all it is in pretty tidy condition. There is paint damage on the tank where the brake reservoir has leaked...

Looking good, I'll be following this one. I'm about to try to cafe-ish my cb750 DOHC too. How do they gauges go? I'm looking at some the same. Do you know what the ratio is for the speedo and tach?
