The Van Van - '73 Suzuki RV125 "tracker"

Re: The Van Van - '73 Suzuki RV125 "tracker" Oh man that's freakin' awesome. I was about to comment that my Grandpa had one of those when I was a kid, we called it 'the fat tyre Suzuki'. Then that picture of Bonzo on one, what a classic, I've been a huge zeppelin fan since I was a...

    Ducati Mobster

Re: Ducati Mobster Yowsers Max! What sort of custom moto work shop have you got there fella? Most of us kiwis on these forums do it out in the garage with whatever's lying around like Munro and Britten. I've never seen anything like that sort of tech going into a custom build before. Very cool...

    79kz650 generic brat motorcycle thing

I'll follow this with interest as I decide what to do with my Z750e. I'm keeping it close to stock for now but I'm thinking brat tracker, flat seat, some Shinko 271 trials tires, braced bars maybe. Lots of dreaming... I like what you did with yours, too bad you never finished it off. Sent from...

    75 KZ400 Break it Loose!

Cool project bike there fella. I really like your idea of where you're heading with it. Just watch the tail to make sure you don't limit the rear travel. The front forks aren't very beefy for of roading but some heavier oil will give you better damping, maybe 15w. And better possibly long rear...

    A Kiwi build from scratch

I ride to work almost every day. Frosts are the only thing that keeps me off it. And I do a bit of trail riding on my KDX 200. Love the green bikes! Sent from my HTC_0P6B using Tapatalk

    A Kiwi build from scratch

Loving your work there cuz. You're the extreme kiwi garage builder with great skills and sweet gear. I'm guessing as a dentist by now you probably only work 2 or 3 days a week now - perfect! I'm assuming you scoff at your dentist mates who waste their days chasing around a small white ball...

    Color choice assistance

Is that the fender on there? Chrome and real short. Or you could go satin black or even matt black, that way it blends in and disappears into the tire, which would work with the very short fender. Sent from my HTC_0P6B using Tapatalk

'Hamasaki' formerly known as the '82 KZ305 cafe racer - first build

Thanks for the kind words from the last 2 posts. That little bike is giving me a lot of pleasure. I've have it running really nicely but it still gets a smokey right lung some days that seems like it will never be cured, some days it doesn't smoke at all though. I love the Kawasaki bikes, they...

    81 KZ305 project

I've done a 305 cafe build. Mine was running when I got it so I was already way down the track from where you are. Someone may correct me but I don't think you can do a 2 into 1 carb on a 305 because it has a 180 degree crank. The 400 has a 360 degree crank so the carb can feed one cylinder then...

'Hamasaki' formerly known as the '82 KZ305 cafe racer - first build

I finally got around to taking some photos of my narrower bars. I flipped over the clamps and managed to slide them in 50mm on each side. So this bike is all done now. I'm currently awaiting delivery of a new to me KDX 200 trail bike. Getting my head around the 2 stroke is taking some serious...

    KZ440 First build, FINISHED

Re: KZ440 First build, New paint Oh yeah? So how did your painter manage to get that wrong? Not sure about the blue & grey combo, not enough contrast for that to work without a white pinstripe around the grey to make it pop, then you're back to square one. Kawasaki bright green like their dirt...
