Fiberglass Tanks Liner

Hey Guys, I just aquired a brand new BCR El Poquito tank on the cheap and it has never been sealed...Ive never had to do a tank liner before so I really dont want to mess up a tank like this. Any suggestions what to use for it? Ive been seeing red Knot is one of the top contenders...Also I might just take it somewhere to have it done so I dont have to worry about it. Any reccomendations you fellow riders have of where to take it and get it done? Im located in Ottawa, Il in the middle of no where but am frequently up in schaumburg for school so anywhere relatively close to those to locations is perferred but it doesnt really matter..

Thanks in advance for all the good responses I am sure ill get.

I hear good things about Caswell Liner from a fellow member with a glass tank. Omars Dirt Track uses a different process, cant remember the name but its on their website, and theyre a pretty reputable company. The best thing to remember is that when not using the bike, drain the fuel so its not sitting for long periods of time. Call it cheap insurance.

I would shoot Benjie an email directly. I remember reading/hearing somewhere that he recommends a certain brand or process for his tanks. He's a real nice guy and is pretty good about returning emails.

I wouldn't put anything in it besides Caswell. Don't use Red Kote, Kreem, Por15, etc. I built a glass tank about a year ago, and mine still looks like new with the caswell.

I was thinking about caswell also, does look like a good product. Ill go with that...Now which one of you want to line it for me :) haha I should be able to handle it though....I would hope.

It's really easy. Just take your time and slosh it around every square inch of the tank as many times as you can. It's an epoxy, so it'll start to cure after a while. When it does, just let it slowly drain from the tank.
