If you any of you P-Town locals aren't already on there, sign up on PNWRiders.com. It's mostly sport bikes, but it's a great crowd that preached safe, responcible riding and has a ton of local events.
The three big events that happen EVERY week are these:
Tuesday night Coffee (rain or shine, bike or car, doesn't matter)

Westside Standing ride (Wednesday)

Eastside Standing ride (Thursday)
http://pnwriders.com/portland-region/104072-standing-ride-eastside-thursdays.html
It's a pretty close knit group, but I've never had a negative experience and they're always looking for more locals to bring into the fold.
