who sells taller bar mounts?

I'm having a hard time finding taller bar mounts for 7/8" bars. Even ebay pickings are slim!

I bought these, but these older fork tube adjusters stick out too much on top. Gotta go higher. The clamp is already braced, milled flat and drilled for 15/32" .... so 15/32" or 12mm bolts is what I need.

The only ones i can find are "outlaw" ones, but they won't ship to canada and are not available on Amazon.ca

I was thinking risers (that would sit in the mounts I have) but I feel like none of them will match the width so it will just look off.

Something like this, with a single bolt on bottom (12mm or 15/32") is what i'm after. Anyone know where to buy?

I don't have a suggestion on where to get them but they would be an easy and fun project to make.
Just get t 1x2 aluminum block off eBay and start cutting and drilling!

I dont have a milling machine myself, so I'm afraid they wouldnt look good enough

I am considering, however, some blocks between my mounts that I have and the clamp, but again, not sure I'd like the look given my primitive garage tools

Obviously i have no clue what you have available as for tools, but aluminum can be worked easily with woodworking tools.
I have a full machine shop and still find myself running over to the wood shop to put a chamfer on a piece of aluminum with the router table fairly regularly.
For bar risers you'd need a saw, a drill, a 7/8 drill bit a few smaller bits and a tap. A router to make the chamfers would work, or you could sand/file the edges.

Bar risers are very common in the Adventure bike world. For my KLR650 I just went with taller aluminum bars to replace the stock steel units, but I added 1" risers to my BMW F800ST to make it a bit more comfortable.

Twisted Throttle has a Canadian site - their riser selection, most of which are individual pieces so the spacing isn't important.

But you could literally stack a pile of washers under the ones you have, and then have simple spacers made. Just some round stock drilled (or stick with a stack of washers).

I used a stack of washers as a wheel spacer on my XS650. Not elegant, but it worked and looked fine.

I agree tho that add-on risers won't look awesome. Stack some washers for now to get the height you want dialed in, and then keep looking once you know how tall you want them.

eBay is usually a good source for items that need to come into Canada. I'd offer to bring them back from the US for you but I'm not heading back down there anytime soon (I'm in Toronto but I work for a US company in South Carolina).

That's actually a brilliant idea, with the washers for wheel spacers. Not to mention you can easily shuffle them side to side and get the proper alignment before spending money on getting some machined!

I live near the border myself, just on the west coast. I ship stuff to the other side of the border often and then go pick it up. But, with the virus now, i'm staying put. Not crossing the border for a while ... not paranoid. Just doing my part to limit my travels and stay isolated

I ended up getting some risers afterall. Found some on ebay that almost match the dimensions of the clamp, so 1mm shouldn't be toonoticeable.

In the mean time I just fabbed up some temp bars until they arrive so I can move the bike around.
