Nice work, it looks really sharp. Did you put the rear shocks on? What kind are they and how do the feel? I'm working on my first build as well and don't want or have the budget to buy expensive shocks, but don't want crap either.

Great looking bike. Well done. Do you think the license plate bracket might start swaying side to side at speed as the wind hits it? If it gets rocking too much it could contact the rear tire.

Thank you. They're stock and 6 years old, so I'm also looking to upgrade. Was thinking about getting those cheap RFY shocks and rebuilding them.

Had the bike up to 70mph with no issues yet, but it was a concern before then haha

Just stumbled on this one - too much time self isolating !

First off congrats on producing a harmonious Cafe Racer with true 60's influences. Just shows what can be achieved with some imagination and will.

If it was mine ? ....... Swept back Goldie 'esque downpipe, rearsets and a TLS drum front brake to complete the 60,'s image.

What's your next project ?

Thank you! Been looking at exhaust systems for it. Looked into rearsets, but they'd get in the way of the kick start. Which, currently, is the only way the bike will start. Pretty sure the 6 year old battery isn't holding a charge.

Next project is my buddies 1980 KZ750 LTD Hardtail bobber.

That was frequently an issue back in the day [ kickstarter ] - our solution was to ditch the kickstart and run and bump start / swing leg over as per the racers of the day !!

Oh, is that a KZ twin ??? Now that DOES have possibilities - I know !!

Nope, even better, inline 4.

Had some extra red LED strips I mounted to to the seat pan to light up the wheel well. Originally saw the idea on an electric bike at the One Moto show this year.

Also took the time to finish cleaning up the wiring. Super clean and WAY more easy to remove the seat.

Since the battery was shot since I first bought the bike, figured it was a good time make the switch to lithium. A little rewiring and a removed solenoid later and she’s ready for the Antigravity 4cell.

Decided to mount a tool bag in the old batteries place, which fits a liter fuel canister perfectly.

Moved a few more wires around and cut some foam.

Road around most of the day without catching fire. I consider this a sucessful swap.

Also put on some new grips.

Hey doombug, where did you get that tool-roll? That's one of the nicer ones I have seen and I was planning on getting one for my bike over the winter.

Bike really looks great man, I bet it is a lot of fun to bomb around the backroads with.

Sorry about the late reply. Made in Guatemala by a company called Hide & Drink, ordered off Amazon.

Better late than never lol. How has the bike been? This is a new brand to me and I just found one local for cheap...if I can get parts easy and cheap I may get it for the kids to learn on. Thanks!

Can't say parts are easy to come by but a lot of CB/CG fit with little to no modification. I had a lot of fun learning on it and still have fun as a daily. Plus I figure if the engine quits on me, I'll swap in a 200.

Got rid of the old gauges. Speedo/tach was from amazon, indicator lights I built out of PVC. Removed the choke cable. Mounted the assembly to sit flush with the top of the clip-ons. Also mounted a USB plug on the inside of the headlight bracket.

Hi, so I know it's been a minute since you did your build but I just picked up a wolf 150 and in my search came across this thread. The PO of my bike had removed the tach and speedo as well as a few other random parts. I have the tach and speedo but not the chrome cases. I see that you chose to not use them on your build. Any chance that you would still have them and be interested in selling? I saw you have WA plates, I am up in Bellingham. Let me know. Cheers!
