Post a pic of your latest purchase

So, a few weeks ago I ended up with what I thought was the right used DRZ400. It had mechanical and title issues the PO either didn't know about or admit to but at least he was cool enough to take it back. I got tired of looking for the right used one so my Mrs said get a new one... 2020 DRZ400! I love this bike.

As you know, i loved my dr650 (and now regret not owning it). I hope that the drz400 brings you as many fun memories!!!

Thanks for letting me take a spin on your DR at Barber last year my man. I liked the DR650 better than my KLR650 (although I did love the KLR). This DRZ400 is way lighter than either of those and plenty of bike for the stuff my wife is up for on her TW200. Her first trips on the dirt have been a blast and she is really loving it.

Dare I say that the dual sport stuff has been the most fun I've had on two wheels. I forgot that you got to throw a leg over the dr650 last year, but yeah, I think if i do the suzuki dual sport thing again, I may have to give the DRZ400 a shot instad of another dr650.

They did a great job on the styling for the new DR.

Got these bad boys in the mail today!

Actually purchased almost a month ago, but they finally came in: (gets my old Craftsman top box and the old Craftsman roller has moved to under the mini lathe and mill)

I always thought it would be fun to build an old Bonnie, never thought I would find a motor in my price range. Now I might change plans on a different bike and go crazy on this one just to bug purists.

Not even a little bit like a Japanese bike to rebuild. Being a mystery motor, you'll want to rebuild it from the crank out. The top end is easy but replacing bearings and seals in the bottom end is a little sketchy and requires a few specialty tools. Follow my thread over in the Bob & Chop forum as I'm just starting the rebuild of a '65 T120R motor.

If anything it'll get a stock rebuild on the motor. I don't need huge power, and went full crazy on my XS with a rephase and efi. Plus, yeah I've been doing some reading and I'll probably have to make some tools. Going full crazy would be more the frame and suspension. I haven't started building anything with the single sided fork and swingarm I've got yet.

Picked this guy up today for the wife, I got to ride it 2hrs home and it's a blast. Slow and boring but in the best way. Perfect cruiser under 60.
