And the neck didn't even break off the frame on the ride home. That's a win. Of course I'm being a bit facetious mostly because I'm jealous and I know they said that they have fixed that issue. Nice get and I'm curious to here hey comparison with the dr650

I just got this, pick it up tomorrow. I always liked these.

Picked up a set of cragar ss wheels for the 49 Ford pickup. 15x8 rear and 15x6 front. They are a bit sweaty up close, but they'll fit the rest of the truck perfectly. Ya gotta love FB marketplace. $80 for the set and picked them up on the way through Atlanta.

Can't say I wasn't nervous about it lol.
It's really no comparison to the DR. Different in every way.
Just enough power to ride with zero excess. I can't wheelie it no matter how hard I try lol.
The power is odd, it feels pretty much exactly the same with one rider or two up. I've never ridden a bike that didn't feel slower with a passenger. It handles two up well. (granted we're under 200 combined lol)
Handling is slow and controlled, overall it's just a really really easy bike to ride.
Reminds me of a CB450 a bit.

Saturday I Picked up two new (to us) 250 gallon fuel tanks for the farm. Found them on ebay for $450 a piece, which is not terrible considering they're full stainless. I just had to drill a hole, then tig a bung on that would accept the fuel pump.

Then Sunday I finally found the Jeep I was looking for! 2016 (or newer) with four doors and a 6 speed manual. As soon as I got it home I immediately took it up to the top of our land to test 4wd capabilities of course.

Thank you, this is the add! The tanks were not fuel tanks originally, but they are DOT (for whatever that is worth) certified and legal for transportation of such things. https://www.ebay.com/itm/250-Gallon...637107&hash=item420e9681ce:g:YxYAAOSwkfRd96s0

Just a little outside of Murfreesboro, in a place called Auburntown. Heard of it? Past Lascassas, between Woodbury and Smithville.

Good to know. A place in Columbus, about an hour from me is now a dealer. I may have to test ride one. What was the otd price?

Well this one was slightly used (2500 miles) and had a bent front headlight/fairing mount that the dealer didn't know about so I was able to weasel it out the door for a song.
$4K out the door with the crash guards and panniers.
About 10 minutes to straighten out the headlight mount, and a 15 dollar turn signal and it's as good as new.

Picked this guy up today for the wife, I got to ride it 2hrs home and it's a blast. Slow and boring but in the best way. Perfect cruiser under 60.View attachment 226104
Not boring hitting the trails... those things are like a KLR... they'll do anything given ample time to do it in. The Himalayas have a really good fan base. I'd not want to run around 2 up all the time on it but fire roads and light adv riding they'd be great.

Picked this up for $200. The guy selling it thought the carb was dirty and that's why it wouldn't run. Turns out when the gas tank is empty it won't run. It's burning some oil and doesn't want to go in reverse, but it starts and rides. It's a trx125

Lol, I picked this up because the wife said if I found a small quad she would go offroading with me. This has the auto clutch, and is smaller so she will be able to ride it. My "dirt bike" is an XL75 with a xr100 bottom end, 120 big bore and a cam, so it's not like I'll just run away from her.

*EDIT* "fixed" reverse on the trx. Turned out to just be an extremely stiff reverse cable.
