Not a normal choice for a café

Looks like the same seat or maker as mine too. For the cb I wanted a temp seat for the summer until I had a plan for the rear. Its reasonably padded, plastic base is ok....the vinyl is a bit thin though.

Put the battery on and she didnt go up in smoke but I have no spark so I have something wired wrong but not finding anything obvious

Also when I hook up the battery it just starts turning over

check your solenoid wiring, it also could be stuck closed(on).
As far as I can tell my solenoid is wired correctly and yes my switch was just stuck but still cant figure out why I have no spark

Small update but ive decided to strip all the wiring from the bike pull the false tank off and start over two reason on so I can get a cleaner look to my wiring and second is so I can just start from scratch with hooking it all up versus where the po left it

that is probably a good move. fixing the wires and adding back one circuit at a time or one piece of the harness after fixing and you can move along knowing each bit is good and then test a circuit once completely hooked together.

one thing I did when re-doing mine after it was wrecked was to put the diagram in Paint and erase everything but the wires for the part I was doing to make it way easier to follow.

Yeah Im still going to use the factory harness but I want to remove it because its not sitting in the best place so the wires are in weird spots and don't always reach where they are supposed too all that easy

Do you know of a good website where I can get new coils and resistors and any of that other electrical stuff ?

I went Dyna but Randakk's cycle shack is the go to spot. Or Ebay. 4into1 has some GL stuff too. If Randakk's doesn't sell it, he lists where to get replacements like NAPA etc. NGW has a good reference section for cross parts and alternative sources too I think.

Thank you

So just got a quote from spark Moto on a new wiring harness and yeah definitely going to try to make mine work because Im not quite ready to drop 400$ on a harness lol

Plug and play though lol....do yourself a favor and go to vintage connections for barrel connectors and crimper tool.

Are barrel connectors just another name for bullet connectors?
