CB360T resto-rection

Does anyone know how to get ahold of crazypj? I sent him a message but it looks like he hasn’t been on in a while.

PJ has his hands full w/ a grandson or step grandson or something like that. He'll be around sooner or later.

You're a handsome chap for sure ridesolo but I can't lie - the pin up on the back of that helmet is prettier

Just an update, I got it all together, it is an absolute blast to rip around on. The carbs need work, I need tires, and a seat cover, but from where I started I am super pleased. I owe most of my progress to you guys who have helped me out and answered all my questions. Thank you for that.

Little hint....those little spool shaped 'needle jets' in the carburetor venturi tend to wear quickly and be problematic in these carburetors (the early 750 Honda used the same needle jets). If you just can't get them right, the carbs from a CB350 work perfectly on these things too. Nicel looking piece of work by the way...if you paln on repalcing those shorty mufflers with something that looks a little more 'correct', hold off on any carb work until you get them fitted.

I may replace them someday, but right now I just want to get it running well enough to enjoy it. I know everyone says you can't fix it with just a re-jet, but surely I can make it better, right? Lol. As far as I know the carbs are stock, and I have my mixture set as good as I can seem to get it, but I still get back fire when I decelerate. Thanks for the tip!

So I was talking to a guy this morning and he mentioned that my suspected carb issues could be timing related. I have no point of reference for how much power I should have, I am basing it all off of the fact that when I downshift or decelerate I get a series of pops, but not when I accelerate. I put the bike together and have not even checked the timing, and I didn't rebuild the carbs. (The fact that it fired right up surprised me, but I just took that for luck). Any thoughts?

Timing made everything a ton better. It also led me to notice when tuning that my right side air/fuel mixture doesn’t appear to be doing anything.......
