Post a pic of your latest purchase

Once you own a long bed, you will always wish you had it back if you ever get rid of it. I'll never go back to a short bed.
I was specifically looking for a long bed. Short beds look nice, but I'm tired of not having the room to haul stuff safely.

A real pickup! We bought the wife (and now I'm stuck driving it) an S10 4door 4wd with a 4.3l V6 and postage stamp bed. Trouble is, it just keeps running. Can't haul diddle init, though.
I know the pain. My other truck is 2004 Ranger Edge step side.

I bought a set of the mac rbrt in metric. So far worth every penny. The 8mm worked in the bottom oil screen on my ktm where a regular allen key just spun. Saved me a tear down.

I have the same, lol and the long ones as well. They are incredible, though I did manage to break a smaller one but still great tool, and agree with your statement

Atleast they have a warranty. I've used the 5mm a bunch for airbox bolts on honda pioneers. This is the first time I've used a bigger one. I've broken a bunch of allen and torx bits over the years, so eventually I'll take advantage of the lifetime warranty on these.

Pretty excited to try these Odi grips on my DR350. They also come with a set of throttle cams to swap out with the right throttle tube.

Forgot to post this here. @VonYinzer grabbed this for me off of Marketplace a month or so ago. My airhead is getting some non-permanent mods done to it, and this will be the donor. edit: 1974 r90/6 roller for $150

Bought this the other day... Probably paid a bit much for it at $500.
Its going to be used as a donor for my CB350F project...
I mean a full set of carbs would set me back way more over here..!!!

It looks a bit rusty in places but is almost complete. I have bought a few bikes for spares in less complete condition than that and ended up rebuilding them. You are probably right to use it for parts....

Pretty boring. Or, at least should have been. BIG dent in the front right of this RD400c tank. I didn't want to put that big a blob of Bondo on it. Checking with dent removal places, they either want both arms and legs or won't touch it. Since it is being repainted anyway (changing color), I figure a stud welder would be just the thing to pop the dents out, then grind down the stud stub and throw just a little Bondo on it. I was wrong! Oh, the stud gun worked great! But, I didn't account for how thin the metal was where that deep dent (where it seems all these get it - right where the triple tree hits) was. Even the smallest studs ripped two holes in it. Just tapping the puller pulled the dent right out. It must have been paper thin there. Tried to silver solder it but either my MAP torch is too hot or my butane iron not powerful enough. So, it has a first coat of JB Weld (after careful cleaning) on it. I'll hold off on clear coat and decals until it is a proven fix. If it does leak, I'll probably take it to a radiator shop and have it brazed.

But the Harbor Freight stud welder and dent puller worked great! The only down-marks I've seen on this kit have been for the gripper on the slide hammer, but it worked flawlessly for me. Not quite as nifty as the twist lock gripper on a pro model, but never slipped, and released with just a slight forward tap. After blowing the holes I stopped pulling the dent, which is 80% out now so there is plenty of room to Bondo any repair that is made.

Not my latest purchase, but brought it home for good. Had this box at my work, but next week I switch from fixing bikes to fixing avionics. So loaded box came home from the motorcycle shop.

I missed my dr650 terribly. Figured I'd try out the Kawasaki flavor. 2002 KLR 650.
Doohickey done, fork brace, comfort seat, progressive suspension, 29k miles. Rough around the edges, but it's gonna be a daily beater as well as what I ride from Chattanooga to the ozarks on the Trans American Trail this June.

A friend has 50K on his KLR. He did the doohickey the day he bought it. Another friend and I rode the Arkansas TAT in 2015 on old 70s clapped out enduro bikes. He rode a Montesa 250 and I rode a Penton (KTM) 175. Both part of his extensive collection of old and unusual junk. Took us a week mostly because we were fixing flats and constantly changing spark plugs.
