Post a pic of your latest purchase

Technically I didn't purchase it because it was free, but I now have this RD250 race bike. Hasn't been run since the 90s, but the engine has been rebuilt within the past few years. I'm getting a solid 120 psi from both cylinders when kicking it over (cold). It has vintage shouldered Borrani rims, and not much else. Looks like it was set up to run premix. Previous owner/builder was a mechanical engineering instructor at Oregon State University.
1) Get in touch with @teazer
2) source top end parts, lots of them
3) buy stock in your favorite spark plug company
4) source and rebuild crankshafts
5) read http://www.amrca.com/tech/tuners.pdf
6) read it again
7) watch one of your children's first year college tuition evaporate in a blue haze of Castrol R
You may never have as much fun setting fire to to several $k...

Great score Matt!

Got these 2 1970 cb350s this weekend, I had to drive 5 hours from Utah to Idaho, 10 hours round trip plus breaks. I thiml I got a good deal. I paid $950, also included was a box of parts including missing parts like the carbs and sidecovers for the cb. The Cl350 has no rust! even the exhaust is in near mint condition! The last scrambler CL350 exhaust on Ebay I saw sell for $550 and it had bad rust pitting and at least one hole in muffler from rust. I am considering parting out the exhaust and selling it for ~$700 but %99 sure i will not.

The scrambler looks like a good candidate for a sympathetic restoration. The CB too if you feel the urge. The early CB tank is worth some coin it is in good condition.

The CB is in pretty good shape, not anything major, no bad rust etc. The CB tank is perfect inside, no rust! Yes the CL is pretty clean. Was it the deal of the centrury? Probably not, but it was fair.

Just finished a 2000 mile round RV trip with my wife to pick up this dirty lady (#5) YZF750R. Matt ( http://www.sparckmoto.com ) decided to make room and offered it up to me. I decided I needed another one. We met up at the Idaho/Oregon border over the weekend and my new track bike project swapped trailers. He also has excellent taste in beer, wish we had more time to hang out this time, it's been awhile. Cheers bud.

Any time, man. Good to see you again.

It's not bike related, but it quickly took care of the squirrels in the attic. And before I picked this up I tried a live trap and glue traps, and got 1. I've been trying to just trap them for a month, and after picking up this gamo the problem went away in under 24hrs.

Not a purchase but a gift.
I was given an 18v grinder for Xmas.

Already coming in handy in fixing up some messy welds on a frame.

Nice Get.
On a Side Note... Matt doesn't look anything like his avatar pic :p

Reminds me of a story... Buddy of mine was having a similar squirrel/attic/air rifle situation. One day buddy was over at Brothers house (around the corner) and was lamenting about the issue. Right at that moment, as the three of us watched, a squirrel squeaked... ran full speed along a branch... and jumped for the adjacent tree. Squirrel misjudged and spectacularly landed head first onto the concrete street... killing himself. At that moment, Brother looked deadass back at Buddy and said..."Over here, they just Off themselves". :D:D:D

A 1972 CL100......I want to do all the fun stuff to it........12v, extended swing arm......lower it, and do some beef up to the engine within reason.

Still want to be able to return to original.........have an extra swing arm, so that won't matter.

Gotta get one of those special tools for removing the bolt for the oil slinger, and the clutch bolt, or at least make one.

Head looks shot though........

I wish. I think I got the last one yesterday. I heard a noise and saw one trying to chew its way through the hole I blocked, it ran to the peak of the roof and gave me a perfect shot.

I had them chew the electrical wires when the deck fell off the house and left a hole. When I was fixing that I touched a wire, it shorted and burst into flames. Those little fuckers can burn down your house if they chew enough wires. I found 3 more just as bad and thankfully was able to fix them all. Had to cut holes in the living room walls to run the replacements into the baseboards and plugs though.

Yeah, that's why I went from trying to trap them to just shooting them. If you trap them you have to move them atleast 3 miles or they just come back. The trap wasn't working and I don't want to spend money fixing things they tear up. So 13 squirrels have met their end, and I'll keep exterminating them to keep them from trying to get back in.

Yep. I shoot everyone that gets near the house.
Reading that message without the context of the rest of the conversation made you sound far more like an American than a Canadian.
