1975 CB125 Tracker project

I've sworn off Bondo filler/sealer. I just use the regular Bondo two-part and sand the dickins out of it.

this was Napa gold 2 part polyester and it's never done that to me before. I think it reacted with whatever plastic they made the covers from. Also the covers don't actually fit. I had to micky mouse a zip tie solution on one of the 3 posts to keep them on. Carb pissed gas when I was kicking it over. I need to adjust the rear brake pedal so I can put a foot on the right peg. I may not be able to shift the bike as it's so small my gimp foot is hard to catch the shifter, Need to try it with my actual boots, not shoes. That being said I fired it up and ripped it at 90KPH in 4th gear. Had to reach down and shift with my hand no clutch to do it LOL.

Great job! Light sand, color, hopefully the clear will seal what came through. Color again next time you do clear on something else.

I tried using JB Weld as filler and had bleed through with light colors. It was awful with white, light blues, yellow and silver. Doing decals is a great idea and will personalize it. It is a great looking bike and probably pretty rare around Magoo's travel area. Nice job!

Well, she's legal. licensed, insured and titled! One of the fastest DMV visits in history! Too old for Blue book so they used the $500 rule for value and I got off with a total bill of $138. So after paint costs we're still under $1000 to get it on the road. So last little things to sort tonight or on weekend. I took it for a good 10 min ride the other night around the local back roads by the house and it ran fine. Last night while we were swapping the throttle cable on the scooter so the oil injection would function again we found a small puddle of oil on the garage floor under the front left fork. looks like fork oil as the brakes aren't leaking. we snugged up the bolt but it may need to have the +1 imperial re-tap done and a fresh crush washer. Need to figure out the final mount for the indicators box. adjust rear brake pedal position and change the oil for fresh and it's ready for the season. I'll ride it and take it to the practice lot for the time being for Will to ride until we can get him into a course. I went to book him in here and the classes are all full dammit so I need to figure out the next closest one for him.

SO no more fork leak but it can't hold it's gas. I took the carb off last night, float was out, I reset it to the 24mm the manual calls for, bent the floats a little to clear the gasket better, turned on the fuel, no leaks, ok, kicked it over and went for a ride, after 2-3 mins it started acting up, slowed down and again gas starts pissing out. The float isn't staying adjusted or its hanging on the gasket, I need to see if the gasket is wrong or a bad aftermarket or something. I may need to order a new float and float valve and float gasket to try and sort it. Until it started acting up it pulled strong and I got it up over 55 mph uphill. after I could barely do 40 and 35 was the best uphill to get home.

Actually looking at the list of bikes the float needle and seat fit, I may have one in my spares. gonna check tonight. good ole Honda lists like 50 models that use the same one.

Ok. Had time today to pull the bowel and floats. They are full of gas so there's the problem. I set them outside to drain on the conrete walk and someone stepped on them. New floats ordered from 4into1. Along with a gasket. Needle is free and clean and works so hope this solves the issue.

It has to be. It ran great at first and got worse and then today after sitting the floats were full. My guess is the longer they had fuel the more they filled up till they didnt float at all.
