Out of the shop, all that is left is to fill her up and get the title. Sooo tempted to fire her up and ride it but don't want to risk it. Had some nibbles on the CB so soon.

Thanks
Hope the 125 selld quick for you. Then, watch for deer on the new ride!
. Magoo knows to watch for sure. He sat on it last night and hes itching to ride. Figured out the wot issue on cb. Exhaust flange fell off and pipe is lose. Ordered new collars to fix it.

Well he decided to pull the $1400 out of his savings so he can start riding her. I pulled her outside, put gas in the tank and it fired right up, then 30 seconds later I started un-choking her, she stalled and now will not start at all. IDK WTF is wrong but I now have to start digging into it. I am hoping the gas was not enough in the tank and it needs more. Going to DMV to switch her into our name and have the jerry can to get more gas on the way home. hoping that is all it is.

Fuel pumps are the weak link on those bikes. My brother's did the same thing. We bought pumps off ebay and many/most leaked so get a good one.

Well full tank got it started but i got 500 yards and it quit. Has no power and wouldn't restart. I read about fuel pumps but I think with the F2 tank I can bypass it and run a direct line to the carbs as the petcock is higher and will gravity feed. Anyway had to leave her on the side of the road to go back to work. Tried the GL and it shit the bed too. Farrrrgh.

It's a fuel flow issue for sure, Came back to the bike and it fired again for a few seconds and died. the filter was empty, I pulled the line from the petcock off and it shot fuel all over, put it back, it filled the filter and then trickled to a stop. I was able to drive exactly the distance back to the house with the bike running good then crapping out right as I pulled into the garage and again filter dry and no fuel flowing. Now to figure out what's causing it. opening the filler changes nothing flow wise and pulling off the line from the filter makes it flow out of the tank full force. Put it back on and it slows and stops so the problem is at the fuel pump to carb section.

Does it need a pump if the new tank and petcock can gravity feed the carbs? I can get a recommended aftermarket from Hordpower.com but it's $70 US I'd rather not spend.

If it has a pump as stock it will need a pump to run. The float valves will be too small to allow sufficient flow and the outlet is too low IIRC.

I have spare cheap pumps that you can have for teh cost f postage. let me know what size the inlet and outlet are.

Thanks. Good for now. Played around and got fuel. Hit 80 mph on a 50mph road. Didnt dare go more.

Ok got it sorted. Fuel pump connector was lose and then fell righ apart. Clicked back to gether and full flow now.
