Nice.
Do either of you have any opinion or experience painting the engine without
dissembling it? I know it will probably be cleaner and easier to work with
disassembled but I lack the knowledge as of now to do this. The motor has been reworked
about a year ago by my buddy so its not like...
Any idea on how much paint i should get for a project of this size?
Ill be cleaning it by hand but have everything else you recommended.
Thanks for you reply.
I have a 1979 Cm400t. i want to repaint the motor without going through the struggle of disassembly.
Does anyone have any experience in this? Best type of paint, cleaning the motor before/ easiest way to protect the paint long term.
Any input will be really appreciated. i looking to paint my...
That sounds great man. I didnt mean to put down your input about meeting at your place i just didnt want people to shy off because of it, also its probably better for you that you somewhat know someone before there at your house. lol. Im down to meet anywhere around pittsburgh. Who else is in?????
So as you can tell we had a couple replies about grilling at someones house. Not to say that's a bad idea at all but it might be a good idea to have a meet up at a restaurant. i feel like its more likely that people will show up if its at a local bar or something first to get to know each...
Yes!!! This is awesome i was hoping this didnt just get lost in the noise. So glad there are some others around here.
Ill have to check out your shop soon. im down for us all getting together sometime this spring for a ride for sure.
Swap the hot wires just in case. I just put together my 79 cm400t, and confusingly enough i swear it changed a couple times lol. I actually had to run a separate wiring to the hot wire on the head light. I would have to look when i get home from work. I dont know if your wiring is the same but...
For all the CM owners. Whats everyone experience on wheel sizes? What wheels do you use, and what are the biggest sizes that have fit?
Pics if you can!!!!!
Anyone around Greensburg area? Got my project (79 CM400t) out on the road for about a week now. Looking for some cafe-ish or just someone that drives something other than a Harley to ride with.
Marked it on my calendar. Not sure if ill be able to make it because sundays are hard but i would like too.
I live in Greensburg PA so its about an hour for me.
What exact size do you need? I highly doubt theres not someone out there that has what you need. I bought mine from Dime City and it was perfect for my Cm400t.
