Got this 1970 Sprint 350SS a while back. It was running when parked because some parts were stolen in storage. Finally getting around to working in it. Today I drained the gas, pulled petcock & screen out. Cleaned the varnished gas out of the tank. Disassembled the carburetor completely...
Picked up an old '70 Italian built Harley. It's a '70 Sprint 350SS. It's all original & hasn't had anything changed out down to the original Pirelli tires. Should be a fun little bike to mess with & keep around. Should be interesting on the left rear brake/right hand shift. It still has...
I wear jeans/tee shirt/boots & keep clothes at the office. Can't stand backpacks while riding & don't really like the hassle at the gas station of a tank bag.
Started out on my first motorcycle at 21 years old in '96 on a '93 CBR9ooRR. Great first bike. Light enough starting out its not too heavy & it had plenty of power to respect the power & ability of the bike. Had it at year & never wrecked it & never had it laid over at all despite many people...
I picked up one of the Bell Bullitts. Really nice helmet. Craftsmanship is way better than I expected & the materials inside are really nice. I always wear a full face & this matches much better to my bike than my shoei. Now if the tinted shield would hurry up & come in.
Picked up this brand new pipe off a forum for $300 off the regular price. He decided to go another direction with is bike. Early Christmas for me this year.
I am running a 170/70-16 on mine with the stock wheel & it is about 3/8" from the belt. If I went with a 180 it wouldn't rub but it would really need a wider rim & at that point it would rub.
Thanks, it's a 2009 Nightster
Not a bad ride, taller 16" tire soaks up the bumps, not much different than the stock shocks that only had only a little over 1" of travel.
