I keep my bikes oily rag clean, they might get washed once a year.. For me a nice paint job is a magnet for a dropped wrench. I've had nice stuff it takes to much to keep it that way. I won't live in fear of tool dings or paint chips, they tell a story.. Mechanical soundness is priority...

75 Zuki Titan Found the power.. After my ride I pulled the plugs on the trans. Went to throw the oil out this morning and my drain pan had the shimmery sparkle of something inside isn't playing well with its neighbor. Same as my 650 which I've pushed into the corner til next year. Shit...

Fixed.. Got to take my linkage off before I start it... 8 feet of 5/16ths rod wasted says that there isn't an easy way to do it with stock exhaust... Chambers next year and then I'll have the room to flip everything...

Yes. Any solvent would work to flush out the vinegar - varsol, thinner, kerosene, fuel, diesel etc. WD-40 or two stroke oil after to keep it from flash rusting..

I personally wouldn't worry about it. I run a two - one on my 650 yamaha and the collector is about 1/4 inch below the sump and it doesn't even try to burn the oil..

Fork tube diameter and distance between fork tubes both need to be the same as what you are running. If you pick up a whatever 33mm tree set then your spacers may need to change for your wheel / caliper placement etc...
