    Kawasaki 2 Stroke "Mongrel"

Re: Kawasaki 2 Stroke "Mongrel" *DONE!!* Whoooaaa I've been following this thread for years now... I saw your bike and met you up at mid ohio last week, while my injured buddy sought shade under your popup tent. Haha. Somehow I didn't put 2 and 2 together. I posted a vid of you firing it up...

    MotoFiaccone RD400 Chopper/Cafe build--for real this time.

I realize the time, effort, and money it takes to build a custom bike... but 4k for an RD that needs a top AND bottom end?! It's very hard to expect to recoup the money spent on a bike built to YOUR tastes, bc style is so subjective. More power to you if you can pull 4,3, or even 2 k for it. I'm...

not a cafe, but it is old! fighter style gs750ef

When I think of 'classic, rare bikes', GS750E isn't really on that list. What does an original one sell for? I doubt he used a hole saw to cut orifices in the precious fairings, through which he then proceeded to sodomize or 'rape' it, as you say. Do you think maybe he and his buddies that...

I just put up some vids of Bondo finishing and making some fiberglass molds.....

Wow, cool vids! What do you use to trim the parts with once you pop them out?

Cafe seat / race tails for sale RD350 DS7 R5 etc. other small bikes

Probably be a few weeks or so on the tank shaped one....... Even though the shape can be pulled from the tank, it's still a very time consuming process getting to a usable mold. I will update with progress.

Cafe seat / race tails for sale RD350 DS7 R5 etc. other small bikes

For the anal perfectionist I would say some skimming of filler here and there. There's a couple of spots that are not perfectly flat. The flat seating part has some ripples for sure but that is covered up anyhow. The shape was all hand made so not flawless. Thanks for the feedback! Also I have...

Cafe seat / race tails for sale RD350 DS7 R5 etc. other small bikes

I would call this a small seat, because it was built RD specific...and an RD is pretty darn tiny. It's not going to fit on a CB750 or anything, but small twins and singles probably. Dimensions are as follows: 1. Total length tip to tip: 25 3/4 in 2. Seating area: 13 1/2 in 3. Width: at...

Cafe seat / race tails for sale RD350 DS7 R5 etc. other small bikes

Also wanted to add, that if people arent too psyched on the Laguna Seca look, I am thinking of using the stock tank as a model and replicating the shape of the back portion and combining it with the front portion of my seat...and making a new mold so ill have another style available. It would...

Cafe seat / race tails for sale RD350 DS7 R5 etc. other small bikes

So I'm posting this up as a feeler to see if anybody would be interested in buying a seat like the one I made for my bike. Basically I just have this nice mold waiting for me to produce some parts with. It is a perfect fit for the RD R5/DS7 range, but will fit many smaller bikes. I can provide...

1975 Suzuki T500 IT IS ALIVE! First start video 5/7/11

Re: 1975 Suzuki T500 Engine rebuild underway Great work! I'm really liking all these proper 2 stroke builds. It really will be worth the patience and attention to detail you are exhibiting. That bearing on the center of your crank looks sturdy and expensive. I have been eyeballing those alloy...

    Yamaha 2 stroke

Wow! Awesome bikes man... I am aware of the manufacturing tolerances with these parts. I assume Scott measured everything and adjuster what was needed. Guess it's not safe to assume things though. Well see how it works out, if it doesn't then my cylinders are essentially expensive scrap. But I...

    Yamaha 2 stroke

Teazer, do you have pics of your TZ's on the web?? Would love to see them... :D As far as the o-rings for the heads, I was having the surfaces refaced and Scott C suggested that I change to o-rings to help with the squish. I said sure go for it as it wasn't much more cost wise. I sent him an...

    $50 mod thread

Thank the internet! I just did a bunch of research and copied/adapted to my needs...especially in the cost dept. ....I know leakdown testing is a good idea with 4 strokes too...just not sure what the difference is. I assume you would need a totally different setup for a 4 stroke. Probably would...
