Just picked up this DT80 for next to nothing. Hadn't been started for years and was missing the kickstart and a few other random things. Pushed it up and down my driveway for about an hour with new fuel in it and it fired right up! Been riding it just about every day since. I'm probably going to...
It runs! It only took me a year and a half too! Lol. Anyway, the carbs were really bad and in need of extreme cleaning and the diaphragms were bad. I also rejeted for the pod filters. Anyway, now I just need to figure out where I fucked up on the wiring as my brake light doesn't work, and...
Got my wiring all done. I fucking hate wiring, but it wasnt too bad. Bike kicks over and tries to start, but won't. I'm thinking I need to regap my points since I had the housing off and didn't redo it. That's the only thing I can think of. Oh well, I'll figure it out. It's not going to be...
Re: XL350R Tracker - Finished!
I like it! Good work! I need to build something like this that I can ride all over the place and still look badass on... or atleast the bike will look badass, lol.
I'm making a harness from scratch for my sl350, and I'm using this very helpful diagram from oldmanhonda. One question I have though is there are a lot of 4-way connectors, and I'm not sure what is the cleanest way to do this with readily available fitting/connectors. I know the oem harness has...
Well, I got my bracket for my coils finished, and got decided to throw this thing the rest of the way together when I noticed there were 2 small cracks along some welds on my gas tank. Long story short, it leaks, alot. It is getting welded up by a friend of mine since I don't trust myself to...
My spark arresters are all rusted through on my sl350, so I'm trying to find similar looking mufflers. Megaphone mufflers look close, so I'm trying to find a black or non-chrome plated muffler. Anybody know of a supplier?
Got alot of it thrown together today. Still need to do little things like run vacuum and fuel lines, install the coils, etc. Then I need to wire it up and ride it. More pics when it get's there!
Sorry for the watermark, using my wife's work computer and I don't know how to stop Lightroom from...
Re: CB200 '73 tracker project
Wow! That looks great! I'm using a wood seat pan on my build, but I never would have thought wood fenders would look so good! Nice job building them too, they look professional!
Got my new upper triple clamp in the mail today finally! Looks good, I kinda wish it didn't have the Bullit logo engraved into it, but that's ok. It fits really well and and looks good on the bike. It kind of sucks that it increases the distance between the upper fork clamps and the lower clamps...
Got my engine in today finally. I decided to throw my sidecovers on after I install the motor to avoid scratching them to shit. Should be happening tomorrow. Here's some pics for now.
Admittedly I haven't touched this thing in a few days, but I have an excuse, albeit a half assed excuse. I was throwing it together and noticed the upper triple clamp (the 2nd one I've bought) has a small crack in it. I can't for the life of me find an upper triple that is not fucking cracked...
