Lol, ANYTHING is an improvement over the original 'shocks', because technically they are only a 'spring' no shock absorbing at all.
I bought some RFY shocks off ebay for $100 or so, work perfectly due to such a light weight bike.
I gave done some more trimming. Removed back mud guard. Fitted 1mm aluminium plate. Moved indicators to inside of seat bolt holes(threaded on inside). New led brake.light, led plate light. Number plate bracket. I still have some more metal tabs to grind off, and replace bottom half of plastic...
The original looked a tad small, so it was off to a random eBay site for a 7". Home made brackets from a strip of aluminium.

Installed a 1/4 throttle, fitted snug into the original throttle switch block with some modifications.
While I was at it, I de-tagges some of the frame. Painted the exposed steel...
List of mods can be what ever you want :-)
Basic list:

500 + check valve clearance.
Change oil every 1000
Checked valve clearance at 2k & 4k
Will probably check every 2k as both times needed a liil adjustment.
Yamalube 10w40 mineral oil
Hey man, you probably have had some messages already :-) do you mind letting me know who you are getting the bike in a box from? I too have a hankering for the 50, as I already have a loncin 150 engine ready. And would love to fit the 50 into another dirt bike frame for the kids.
Cheers, Steve.
Last mod to do is a quick throttle 1/8 twist. But probably next year as I am just going to ride it for now.
Have another project I am starting on.
I don't really do build threads. But it most definitely will do the ton, and in a quick time too [emoji13]
