Maybe I'm being a dumbass...but the gasket is actually stuck on the rubber boot. Not sure if I'm supposed to remove it or not but it was a little chewed up....I don't know if I'd want to hit this with a wire wheel or brush.
Man, I sure would love a new Thruxton or pretty much any Ducati for an everyday rider...I need to get a big contract before I spend that kind of dough though!
So I just got some newish intake manifold rubbers for my CL350, problem is that the old gasket is damn near impossible to get off. I'm using a razor blade now, but I don't eant to chew up the rubber underneath.
Anyone know a good technique for getting these stubborn bastards off?
Thanks...
Anyone know any good machine shops or performance shops in Chicago area? I'm considering getting bigger pistons and having my motor overbored and rebuilt.
Thanks!
Wow I know this thread is crazy old, but holy crap does Zep work wonders. I just cleaned out two pretty heavily rusted tanks and they are now both just about completely rust free!
Awesome bikes! My buddy Ryan from Lost Garage posted some stuff on your bikes...incredible that this was your first attempt! I definitely have some inspiration for when I try to tackle major mods on my cl350 this winter!
Since I have put new VM30's on my bike, no longer need this stuff.
The carbs are pretty clean, although the threads on a couple float bowls need retapped...One of the carbs has a brand new OEM float in it, the other one is in good shape. Both carbs have all new o-rings, and diaphragms are in...
Cool stuff. I'm looking to do something similar to my bike to hide the battery. Is this battery box visible from the side without the side covers on?
If so, would you be willing to post or pm the dimensions of that box? Looks perfect!
