"A Bird in the Hand" take 2. DR650 Deadtail Bobber, now with a sidecar

I made up an aluminum brake adapter plate to link the mashup of DR650 caliper/ XS650 forks / frz rotor.

My favorite part about this build is the pace.
Every time I check in I'm thinking, sweet it must be done now!
Nope brake caliper bracket lol.
Reminds me of me.

Im lucky to get an hour or so in the shop every couple days, usually between midnight and 1 a.m.

I spend half of that hour trying to figure out where i left off the last time.

Oh believe me no criticism here! I'm in exactly the same boat, you're just better at actually getting stuff done than I am lol.
I tend to go into the shop, sit and decide what to do, then decide I'm tired and go to bed

I've still been tinkering on this thing as much as possible. I've finally sat down and made a check list of things that need done to complete it, and honestly, it was a bit longer than I expected lol. I'm trying to knock out 1 or two small projects an evening as I go, and even if it's an exercise in millennialism, it feels good to cross things off the list. Funny, i thought I'd be riding this thing by now. Sometimes I wonder if I know myself at all...

I cut a piece off of a stock dr650 muffler to mate the cone to the head pipe and tig welded it on. It utilizes a dr650 muffler gasket. I still have to sort a hanger for the muffler itself. (I know @irk miller will have something to say about the zip tie)

I decided that since this is a precision performance machine, the spindly xs650 forks needed a fork brace, so that was tonight's project.
