Ignition coil help

Been Around the Block
So I have been thinking lately about converting my cl100 from 6v to 12v, and have come to the conclusion that’s it’s probably a good idea. While I’m sure that I would be able to find 6v bulbs bright enough it’s a lot cheaper and easier to find 12v stuff. When I do the swap I plan to replace my coil with a 12v coil rather than do the resistor thing to reuse the 6v one. I have heard that cb350 coils are good but they’re harder to find as just one and they’re like $30+ each or more for legit ones that I’d feel comfortable buying. So my question is does it really matter what the coil is, so long as it is a coil designed to work with points ignition? I’ve heard they should be about 5 ohms, and I can get a coil made by ngk from summit racing, who is obviously a very well known and reputable company, who is going to be a lot easier to work with than some random eBay seller in another country if a problem arises, for like $15. The main difference here being that the summit coil is not specifically for a motorcycle and it is going to be an oil filled coil, which I understand can have shorter lifespans than epoxy, vs an epoxy coated that seems to be standard for moto coils. So will I be ok with the oil filled coil or do I really have to get a motorcycle specific coil?

Oil filled coils should last way longer on a motorcycle as they are only firing at one quarter the rate of a car engine (for an inline 4)
I use BSA/Triumph style as they are easy to get hold of and pretty cheap
