Hubs came up a treat and pads look brand new after a soda blast. Also ceramic coat looks good on the pipes too. Pic to follow.

I’ll be sorting out the fiberglass on fairing tomorrow then off to paint with the tank seat and forks.

It could be an optical illusion, but it looks like the valves are pocketed (ie sunk into the head). That's often needed for high lift cams, but it's important to blend the seats to improve gas flow. The head is really clean but looks like some of the gasket is still stuck there. Better to clean that off.

And last thing: The pistons appear to have an angled squish band which is good. Do the squish bands in the head match the angles (plus 1-2 degrees) or are the "flat"? I can't tell from the pictures. Typically, aftermarket pistons have a flat squish and heads are machined to match, but angled squish is better on both and the head angle should be slightly more than the piston angle.

It's coming on nicely though. How is the GT750 running now?

I’ll double check the head mate cheers. Unsure about the pistons my good mate is an engine builder and he is looking after the freshen up I’m just the nuisance in the road.

The gt is running so good, brakes better then my 86 gsxr and every time I throw a leg over I can’t stop smiling.

Zinc plated fasteners look nice.
unrelated, but I dig your garage, not the biggest but I really like the giant windows and the brick archways with the rollup doors. Im accustomed to working in dungeons with no natural light.

the DOHC 450/500 Honda engine is probably the most beautiful motorcycle engine in my opinion; I had a '75 CB500T that I think about all the time... Your build is great man, can't wait to see the finished product.
