    CB500 Big Bore Question

Thanks for the info! I see the 553 kit in his store, but no 605. 553 is better than nothing!

    CB500 Big Bore Question

Hey all, I have access to a spare CB500 that needs rebuilt. It move freely, but has low compression and some missing parts. Since it already needs rebuilt, and needs new pistons, I'm thinking about going big-bore. My question is this... - Could I simply go up to a 550, or even 650 stock piston...

    HD Black Leather Jacket

Love this jacket, but I just won't wear it this year. This jack is in like new condition. Seriously. At least a 9.5 out of 10. Heavy duty, genuine leather. Super comfortable. Jacket is a men's size small. I wear a small/medium shirt and it fits me perfectly. Allows for a sweatshirt...

    XV750 - "The Rust Bucket" - #500x500 Challenge

I suck and totally didn't post the pictures that I promised. I ended up selling it shortly after I took these. Then I sold my XS850, so I now have zero motorcycles :( I bought a VW Vanagon, so that has been consuming my time lately. Will get another bike next springs. I preferred it without the...

Re: 1980 XS850 Mono-shock Cafe Racer I've been telling everyone I know with an 850 to do the same thing. I should probably stop doing that or the price of these carbs might sky rocket :)

    XV750 - "The Rust Bucket" - #500x500 Challenge

Wow, can't even believe it myself. Got this old bastard running last week. After being super frustrated and not touching it for about a month I decided my last effort would be to clean the carbs, again. So I did. Slapped them back on and it fired right up. Ordered a new battery cause I fried...

    XS850 - 'The Beast' - Monoshock & USD Fork (pics pg 13)

Not sure about the Volvo as it was one of the other riders. They definitely have a cult following here in the states, especially the older ones, but you're probably right about them still not going for a lot of $$.

Good to hear man. Enjoy riding it! I'm enjoying my 850... though still dealing with suspension tuning :/

    turbocharged cb550 bobber

Been silently following this build from the beginning. Really enjoying it. I have run those duel sport tires on a bike before, and though I sold it and didn't ride it much I thought they were fine tires. I see you want to be able to navigate gravel roads, so in that respect, they make sense...

    Standard foot rest with clipons?

+1. It's awful. I rode with clip-ons and stock pegs on my KZ400 for one summer and couldn't ride more than 15 minutes without my back hurting.

Should have posted some pictures from the trip! I couldn't believe these Mosko Moto bags fit on the cafe seat, but they did. Really cool bags if you've never seen them before. This is the ride where we were suppose to be riding a $500 bike for 500 miles. My $500 bike was a flop so I took the...

Xs750 896cc engine rebuild and chop!

I thought I was going to have to shim the needles on those Mikuni's I picked up, but it turns out the needles are adjustable. Bumped the up to the top spot and it feels pretty good. Plugs look similar to yours actually. Put around 200 miles on it the other day until I blew my rear shock :( Love...
