Hello fellow DDT bikers from Lindsay Ontario September 2021

Hey Dave - sorry for the quiet response. Everybody's squeezing the last few good days of riding out of the season I guess :) Welcome - I'm in Toronto. Bought some XS650 parts back in the day from a guy out in Lindsay and pass by often on my way up to the cottage near Kaladar. I have a...

Glad to see you and the bike back! I've been thinking about chasing my XS that I sold down and buying it back for 1/2 of what I sold it for ;)

Newbie from Metro Phoenix - (although registered since 2014!!?!)

Nice collection! Hope the tires aren't melting in the Phoenix heat. I expect to be there in September for a few days (working with Cable One on a project).

ng for someone to tune my carbs. Toronto. Cb750

What shop did you use? I'm in Toronto, but haven't tuned a bank of 4 carbs since I sold my CB550 about 14 years ago. I trust Tom at Cyclewerx but at the end of the day tuning 40-50 year old worn carbs is hit and miss.

    73 Honda ST90 - HELP NEEDED

I don't have a harness, but you might try Sparck Moto http://www.sparckmoto.com/ What color is the bike? I've been restoring my ST90 (for my daughter) for a few years now. Not a full restoration, but fresh paint, some chrome, new rims and spokes etc. Engine might be done in another couple...

DO THE TON BIKE OF THE MONTH - MARCH 2021 WINNER Honda 750!

Sorry it's been a cluster this last couple of weeks - in quarantine after returning from the US, which ironically has kept me away from this sort of thing. Anyhow - voting is open for a short quick shot at this! Looks like a great set of bikes to choose from this month.

Post a pic of your latest purchase

Not sure - it's complicated as it's a Canadian bike and was never imported into the US. The only way to do that is to take it back to Canada and then bring it back across at a land crossing and import it at that point. It's doable, but I haven't looked into the process to import into the US...

Post a pic of your latest purchase

Levi's F800 is a 2010 and was, IMHO, very reasonably priced compared to what many of us spend on our vintage jalopies. I'm hauling a friend's 2005 R1200ST back to Canada with me and will probably sell it for under $3K USD. Don't have to buy a 5 year old bike to get the modern conveniences, but...

MTD Trail Flite Hellride aka Fits of Glory

Can't wait to see it ripping around. Sadly I wasn't able to give it any attention or get it to the Small Bore event.

    Best place for custom bearings?

I think the concern is the bearings should sit in their 'seat'. But, that being said, at least on Honda CB wheels one bearing floats - it doesn't get pressed in against a lip. Then there is a retaining ring that threads in and gets punched to lock in place against the hub. So it largely...

Looking to safety and emissions test on my old bike

There shouldn't be any emissions needed - in 30 years of riding in Ontario I've never heard of emissions testing on a motorcycle. For a thorough safety, I can suggest you contact Tom at Cyclewerx. But they're up in the Junction area of Toronto (near where I live). Great shop - very...
