Paul Brodie is a very interesting man. He created the trendsetting Brodie mountain bikes, has taught bicycle frame building and modifies motorcycles. I don't know him personally, but I think he is a very cool guy. He made Excelsior replicas from scratch after studying 4 or 5 photos of them...
I ordered a leak down tester from HVC Cycle and after it arrived I found the one that I thought that was lost in my move. If anyone is interested, I will sell to DTTers at a good price. I have to known very soon because the window for returning in small.

I don't know if anyone here has done this but it looks like a good alternative to using foam. I think doing it this way might allow you to make finer edges and details easier.
