    1972 Yamaha DS7

Gonna pull the cover tomorrow evening. Hopefully it's just the cover. But if it took the case out too, I guess I'll be "forced" to buy pistons for the RD350 engine and install it :P

    2002 Kawasaki ZRX1200

Figured I put one up for the ZRX. I'm not dramatically changing anything on this bike so I'll just drop it in here. Purchased in March of this year, this is where I started. A few minor mods later included Shorty Levers, painting the Master Cylinder Covers black, and replacing the CF Tank Pad...

    1972 Yamaha DS7

I hadn't really played with the DS7 much since the last posting. Life and other interests took over and she got put into hibernation. About this time last year I had the realization that she would be 50 years old in 2022, and made the declaration that I would wake her up and get her out for her...

    Brothers Ducati 996

I agree, imo it's one of the sexiest bikes ever built. Putting the finishing touches on the new bodywork. The aftermarket tail didn't come with the screens in the vents. So I picked up some stainless mesh, made some templates, and fab'd up some new ones. A little JB Kwik and about 30min later...

    Brothers Ducati 996

He decided to do a bodywork change. Since he's let me keep her at my shop, and ride her whenever I want, I volunteered to fit the new bodywork. The OEM bodywork has been preserved, and the Chinese bodykit gets a 9 outta 10 review. I only had to modify three places for an exceptional fit. My...

1949 Ford F-3 "old red truck"

While you have the engine out and freshening it up, consider throwing a set of OEM spec crank bearings in. I've done this with every 'used' engine I've installed. It can be done without necessarily pulling the crank, but pulling the caps and lifting the crank just enough to push the old bearings...

    Found a $300 CB550

Not the best pic, but it was handy. Get on ebay and search 'vintage motocross fork brace'. I think I paid $25 for that one and polished it up myself.

    1978 CB750

Down to where I want to be... for now atleast :P The ZRX, DS7, and the Jeep. Less tinkering, more enjoying.

    1978 CB750

It's been a fun decade, but I'm closing the chapter on the CB750. After dragging my feet for a year, I finally got her listed for sale. Took just a week to find her a new home, but atleast it's a good home. And not too far away, so I'll likely still see her around ;)

    2002 Jeep TJ "Baa Baa"

What started out as a simple "Let's re-mount fog lights on the bumper (the OEM ones were removed by the PO)", turned into pulling the winch plate in order to weld mounting tabs for the lights. Which turned into, "If I have to pull the winch off the plate, I might as well replace it with a new...

Paging DesmoDog to the white courtesy phone please...

Thanks Dude. I was able to determine that the 916 was the only Fogarty Edition sent to the states after posting here. No worries though, it was purchased as a clean '99 996s without any "special" considerations. The PO only mentioned it when he handed over the graphics (which I now want to open...

Paging DesmoDog to the white courtesy phone please...

@DesmoDog My Brother just picked up this '99 996s and we're having a little trouble finding info on it. The PO said it's a Fogarty edition, and included a complete (unopened) graphics package with the sale. We found it odd that it doesn't say "S" on the fairings, but it does have a plate on the...

Post a pic of your latest purchase

We used to use old 30cc chainsaw pistons as key fobs. That's the smallest piston I've ever had a hand on. But a 25mm 2 stroke piston isn't as "awe inspiring" as a 39-49mm 4 stroke piston. The valves must be the size of pencil erasers
