im pretty sure a cg 125 or 150 cylinder will fit on the xl engine ? sure theyre almost identical engines? the cylinders ans pistons for cg125 are avalible for literally peanuts from the chinese suppliers i would check the stroke and see if itd the same as the cg i would bet that just the bore...
i also have these pistons in my 350 alough i havent started it yet i ordered them as they seemed a bargain seeing that your pleased with yours gives me a bit of confidence in them they also have a good range of bore sizes for the 350 twins
yeah i get what your saying about the angles the hub looks great in that photo which brings me on to points covers. what do most with the cb/cl/sl do to theyre points and tach covers i got one thats reasonable ok and one that is badly scratched do many get them re chromed ? i am contemplating...
Yeah I’m really pleased with how it came out I know what u mean about the different grades of metal my front hub was a real pain and after trying trying and trying it still ain’t exactly perfect but my fork legs and rear hub polished real easy the front hub just seemed like a really hard alloy...

Got round to mocking up the exhaust today with the cl pipes and a 2-1 and I really like the look. I will weld the silencer to the 2-1 then use clamps to mound it to the cl pipes I think I’m going to do the cl pipes in vht grey flameproof as they’re not as nice up close as in the photos
i put a xr125 engine in my cg 125 one thing to note is how old is your cg 125 ? some of the older ones used points and some were 6 volt the newer ones were cdi ignition which i would assume the mbx engine is too ? is the mbx one of the chinese engines based of the cg engine or is it the overhead...
