Tried searching through other threads with no particular luck so here goes; Put this 81 cb750c together from baskets of parts. Long story short, cylinder 3 is oil fouling plugs. Starts up and idles fairly good. Even low to midrange is good till you wind it up then starts bogging out.
The...
Hello all, somewhat new to the board here. So i bought an 81 cb750c that was kind of a rolling basket. PO had cut the foot control triangular brackets (to make rear sets)?? Anyways, the cafe style isn’t exactly what im going for so Im either trying to find some stock brackets someone has cut off...
The first digit of the scale is on the base of the caliper (hard to see in the pics) The general measrument of these valves is 0.658" and yes they do have a spring loaded pin on top
Float valves look good, no indentations or wear. When i pulled the hinge and look at the floats they dont appear to mis shaped in anyway. Im really starting to think ive got an incorrect (longer) float valve to make this thing stick up so much higher. Any shop guys or carb gurus with a few of...
Ive done the cleaning which didnt affect float height. Ive read theres a tolerance +\- 1 mil for floats but mine a a good quarter inch from that. I dont recall the bowls leaking out the overflow, just thefyel joints. And to complicate matters i found the secondary main jet a 120 instead of stock...
Bought the bike non running. Thought i might get lucky and not have to tinker with the carbs. Noticed fuel leaking from the 1/2 carb joint when i was ready to start her up.
While interrogating my carbs, im noticing all of my floats are consistently out of spec. These are the plastic non adjustable type. Im measuring these with the floats hanging down. Honda says theyre 0.61" from carb base, mine are 0.8-0.9". Im thinking a possibility of incorrect float valves or...
Im running into this same issue. They are available now (this thread is pretty dated). . Check hondapartsnation.com theyre also on ebay but beware there are some considerably less expensive ones that are out of Taiwan.
Can anybody shed some light on where these vacuum lines go to? Its an 81 cb750c that was partially disassembled when i got it. The honda pdf's available arent very descriptive.
First pic shows the hose coming out of the air joint btween carbs 2 and 3 and bending down almost like an overflow...
OKI MPS-200 four wire spark ignitors. The label on these says 85 Goldwing Gl1200. They came with spare parts box for my CB750 but theyre not gonna work on mybike. $60 shipped
Ok thanks guys. So ive got 12v to each coil on the Bk/w wire.
515 and 519 ohms on the colored pairs.
No continuity to ground.
Swapping the ignitors moves the issue from cy 1/4 to 2/3
Swapping the coils moves the issue from cy 1/4 to 2/3
PO intalled Dynatek DC1-1 coils. Most of what ive read...
So i should start by saying this bike 81 cb750c hasnt run (since ive owned it). Wiring was a mess with all the wiring in boxes. I started by seeing if i can get good spark. Connected everything back per the Clymer wiring diagram. First and fourth cylinders have good spark. 2 and 3 nothing...
