close race this month. Thanks for nominating and voting for my little GT185. Both competitors are well deserving to be in the mix this month. And that Honda resto-mod is bad-ass. that's the bike I would like to own!
bike is currently for sale on bringatrailer in order to fund my next project- a 1974 Kawasaki S3 400 Mach II

thanks, i appreciate it. I tend to migrate towards simplicity on all my builds. that particularly shows on this one- no gauges, no turn signals, no horn- just the bare minimum. I wish I could go without a battery and use electronic ignition, but unfortunately the charger/ starter motor/...
While I am at it, I am also agreeing to JagSpeeds badass build being nominated- an homage to the Nighthawk S - my very first bike I owned new back in high school. Great build you have there.
I am still debating about putting some decals or an emblem on the tank. I was kind of thinking of putting the suzuki sunrise logo on it. Not sure. May just leave as-is.

update on the bike. Got my bodywork back from powder. I need some sunlight in order to truly show the color. Its a maroon red candy powder coat with a silver metal flake top coat. It shines really nicely in the sun. Hopefully will post some better pics once it gets nicer out.
order it on webike Japan. They ship to the USA for very reasonable shipping and the helmets are usually cheaper. I got my arai Kenny Roberts helmet there for like $400 cheaper.
picked up a new helmet. My main helmet is an Arai RX7 Kenny Roberts replica. Its an awesome helmet- safe, comfortable, etc. But it doesn't really go with the vintage bikes that I own. .So i wear the Arai with my modern bikes and I picked up this Bell Bullitt Chemical Candy (Evel Knievel) helmet...
also picked up this helmet on eBay. Brand new, old stock. They made this special chemical candy Evel Knievel scheme 4 years ago for one year only. Been looking for one for the past year and finally found it Its a Bell Bullitt.
here is my Kenny Roberts helmet that I referenced above. Like I said, I wanted one back in high school but could not afford the Shoei version at the time. Now I got the Arai RX7 version.
I remember lusting after this helmet (except in yellow) when I was in high school. They were very expensive at the time- I recall maybe $300, which was crazy money in the 1980’s. Fast forward to today and I finally got one- the current Arai RX7V Kenny Roberts replica in yellow. Sorry I don’t...
No it is not stock. Not exactly sure what color it is- the original owner died and his estate is dealing with it. Unfortunately for me, knowing the color is actually somewhat important because it is missing a left side cover.
Here are my options: #1: paint both side covers black like the...
