    I had to redo my front brake lines, one of the fittings split open and the front brakes went flat... luckily in my driveway. I was having a little trouble syncing the carbs as the left was hunting around a bit. I was able to narrow that down to the butterfly alignment on the left carb so now...

    Did you anneal the steel? 20 Gauge might be a better choice too. 18 is pretty thick for that kinda work.

    Bravo... I HATE polishing covers. But yeah sanding them through the grits and making sure to get out the previous grit marks.. then working through the compounds with the right buffs is the trick. Nice work.
