Re: 1956 Duratech S-13 "Project: Pop Can" (Boat)
I wouldn't worry too much about the foam. I helped my brother restore a 1988 ski nautique earlier this year. We took all the foam out of it when we stripped it and didn't put any back in. Granted, it has a fiberglass hull and the foam had turned...
Re: Re: things that make me grumpy
I have an uncle that is allergic to bees and carries an epipen with him all the time. He got stung last year while riding to work on the 405 in LA. He took out the epipen, jammed it into his leg (all while he was going 80mph down the freeway) and rode the...
Re: Re: In over my head?
Yea. I rode it for a up my street before I tore it down. Brakes were ok and the motor pulled pretty good. Granted, that was in low gear which is we're this thing will shine.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I know its going to be a challenge but I really wanted a unique bike and for $300 I couldn't pass it up.
Here are the pics of the sprocket. the bike has a 13 in the front and a 43 in the rear. I want to put a 37 or 38 tooth sprocket on the rear to get some more...
Alright, I have been dreaming of a 2 stroke cafe for years. I finally had the opportunity to get my hands on a 1974 Bultaco Alpina 350. I love the bike and im super excited to get this thing on the road but I have some questions.
First, the wiring is scary. The bike doesn't have a headlight or...
Those things are a beast in the desert! I've been thinking about tearing the motor out of an XR400 and throwing it into a cb frame. Those motors are so torquey I think it would be awesome to ride on the street.

Re: Re: What does everyone do for their "real" job?
Yea. Me and the fam just moved out here from Phoenix 2 weeks ago for the job. So far it's been great weather compared to Arizona. We left Phoenix at 105, got here and it was 75. Haha.

A couple years ago I was out with both brothers riding dirtbikes south of Lake Havasu City, Az. I was on a 94 CR 250, younger brother was on Dads XR 600 and baby brother was on an 89 CR 125. Anyway, younger brother crashed going down a hill and the left footpeg hits his left foot. He broke all...
Nice! I was wondering how the scene in Abq is. My family and I will be moving to Albuquerque in the next couple weeks. I haven't even started my project yet but I hope I can in the next few months after the family is settled here. Either way, I'd like to start making some contacts here. :-)...
I like the uniqueness of the routing to the left side, but as was said before, the visual balance is better with it on the right. Thanks for the update. I continue to be amazed by this build!
