Got the carbs synced up and it sounds good but I have the air screws out 5 or so turns and that is with 40 pilots. Next size I can find is 42.5's Would these rectify that?
this was what I used for a test. I will be replacing the rubber intake boots on the manifold with new offset steel plates. but right now it is galvanized threaded 2 in long male to male pipe with pvc coupling from carb to pipe. This allowed the slight shift I needed to slide the carbs on.
Looking to jet bandit 1200 carbs for a KZ1000.
37.5 pilots were in them factory. I removed them and added the #40's from my bs34's and installed them in the 1200 carbs. I also moved my mains over as well which are 147.5's. This setup worked very well with pod filters. But the BS34's got to the...
Got the carbs mounted up. Just got to fix the lean popping now. Its weird I would of figured factory 1200 carbs would run rich in a 1000cc motor.

got a set of 1200 carbs and the spacing is almost perfect. Its close enough to push them on the factory KZ boots but the #2 and 3 are slightly off enough to cause an air gap. talking like a cm or less. Might possibly beable to scrap the rubber down on the boot or shave some metal off the carb to...
