1962 BSA DBD34 Gold Star restoration (1000 miles and more)

Re: 1962 BSA DBD34 Gold Star restoration (SHE'S ALIVE!!!!.) Congratulations, Swan! As of late, the word epic has been hijacked by a bunch of beardless twits, but I can think of nothing that describes this build, your attention to detail and documentation better. I've followed it since page 22...

Getting an old XJ 600 Road Worthy Again

Mine were gummed up so bad, that I broke them trying to take them apart to soak and clean. Fortunately, found another set.

Getting an old XJ 600 Road Worthy Again

Now we're talkin'! I got one of those. It was my son-in-law's and had been sitting a long time. Started a cafe-esque project, but got distracted by a couple of other bikes. Rusty, leaky tank and varnish-filled carbs... all-in-all, the usual stuff. I think I'll go back to it this spring. Keep...

Re: CM400C Cafe Garage Build - Seat complete - New Photos

Re: My Precious - CM400C Cafe(ish) - first build Man, this is going to look great with that distressed leather! I'm getting inspired to restart my Seca II cafe build this spring.

Every time I see one of those, I think of Roger Moore in The Saint.

Les Paul Jr style guitars, from scratch

I am impressed and envious. I've got horrible woodworking skills, so this past year I've modded my Tele and built an electric cigar box guitar. Wish I could do what you've done, but will look forward to soon assembling a Partscaster. Nice work!

Different from the norm, but nice. I like that a lot.

lets see your 3/4 helmets (only)

I think my Rockhard looks a little, very little, "mushroomy," but my friends say it looks great. Found mine at the Chaparral Motorsports parking lot sale in San Bernarghetto, California a couple of weeks ago. They're usually about a hundred bucks, but these were marked at $69, and they charged...

I almost bought an El Fuente, but found a deal on a Rockhard American Classic. Biltwell has a great reputation, but all in all, I think I lucked out.

My 74 MGB GT Project Scarlett

Fantastic!!! I owned a BRG '68 MGB for 12 years. It hadn't run in 16 years and I was able to buy it for $1.00. Yes... ONE DOLLAR! It had a cracked cylinder head and a lot of problems from sitting. I found a '73 MGB GT that looked just like yours but had been totaled from a rear end collision. I...

Ah... you never forget your first! Bike, not post. Who remembers their first post? Welcome! I like the charcoal paint, but here's your first bit of unsolicited advice: since you're doing rattle can, get some SprayMax 2k clear coat to cover the paint or else any spilled fuel will strip it right off.

    Jeep Liberty

I live in a haven for Jeeps, and, in fact, own an XJ. I was wheelin' in Anza Borego a couple of years ago and someone with us had a Libby. That little rascal would go anywhere the rest of us could. I was quite impressed. Yours looks great, BTW. Is that the Sedona area?

Was that artwork done with a Sharpie? I've heard of others using them.

I could use a visor like that.
