I solved the turn signal issue. I found some two prong flashers on Amazon and they worked!
Not worried about speed anymore. Just hoping to turn this into a semi reliable and and economical commuter. I have new tires for it I just need to pull the wheels and take them to a shop. I finally...
Ya I just live with it. I sometimes get a stumble trying to accelerate into first. I need to add a fuel filter and possibly clean the carb again. I found a replacement carb on Amazon for $60. Might be worth a try.

It’s still wonky. The idle is seated on the screw. It seems when ambient temp is warm it idles high and it idles low when it’s cold out.

Update. I got a “gel” battery from Amazon for $50. Also found 2 prong led blinkers.
It fires right up and everything functions as it should electronically. I still need to solder and shrink wrap the new indicators.
The bike is odd that it idles high when warm even when I drop the set screw...
Thanks gents. I’ll dig a little deeper into it when I have time. I’m going to borrow my buddies motorcycle lift, pull the wheels and take them to a shop. He says there’s a place that may do them for a reasonable price. Sub $200 would be nice. While I’m at it I may look at swapping the rear...
I’d love to see yours Jerry. You’re somewhat close location wise lol. Only 550 miles away. Here are tire pics but I need to swap them since they’re 20something years old.

And yea Jerry I’m pretty sure that’s the tire I’m running. The bummer is these tires look new but are over 20 years old. I’ve ridden up to 55-60 but I feel like I should get new(er) tubes and tires if I’m going to ride it on higher speed roads so that will be a few more hundred to spend.

Sorry ya’ll. I got sidetracked with life issues.
Porcelanow your bike looks great! Honestly I don’t know how I got it to sit so flush. It just dropped. Right down in. I drilled holes in the plastic toward the back and bolted them to the brackets for the original seat.
It has been a hard year...
Thanks. I’ll update. I’m in sacramento Ca area.
The seat was a cheapie I bought off eBay for $25. The front tab slides under the tank, I drilled into the plastic fairings under the seat and attached the back of the seat that way, and the very back drops right in front of the black tab.
It...
You’re right. And I believe in supporting people who specialize in a niche market. Between the shipping and the exchange rate it just kills it but then again, it’s a fun bike with no payment.
Ok. I guess I’ll bite the bullet and look at exhaust and see what he recommends for the carb. I’d also...
