It's pretty good, I'm not a fan of seats that are just for looks so I used 7cm talk seat foam for it and shaped it with a bread knife. Did 2+ hours of non stop riding without feeling uncomfortable. Also the seat height makes the overall riding position more comfortable...

1 AM the same night: bike assembled, headlight brackets fabbed and ligths mounted and all wires hooked up. Fired it up outside and it sounded sweeet...
Next morning I put the seat cover on that a friend had sowed and took off for a seriously fun ride on the Swedish back roads. The bike handles...
Spring has finally arrived, so I got busy in the workshop... pretty much had the dry build ready but didn't know what to do about paint. In need of a quick option I opted for Würth Quattro spray paint, which is dense and flexible, which makes it good for fibreglass that flexes. I also painted...
I decided to try the dual headlight setup now that I already have an extra light kicking around...
Making the brackets
Test mount... too far from each other? Too high? It's really hard to judge on an unpainted bike. I'll have to meditate and stare at it for hours :)

Johnpete, I have actually thought about that too. Now that I have been looking at the single light for a few days I think I will go with two. Gotta see if I have a smaller light kicking around... if not it will just be ordinary dual lights ...

I mounted one light in front... still on the fence about one or two headlights...
Got a friend who's better with the welder to weld my new pipe to the connector pipe
Got it mounted and couldn't help but firing it up - holy lightning it sounds good! Very deep tone and not too agressive...
I was seriously considering buying some expansion chambers just to have them on the shelf for a future project :) Most of the exhausts were around 50 bucks...
I went to Bali on vacation and managed to track down the guy who fabricates the exhausts and pipes for all the custom shops in the area including DEUS, he had a GP style can (which I have been looking for) on the shelf so I snagged it for a good price :)
Here's the shop, quite impressive...
A bit more progress, got the whole front fully welded and made a license plate holder. Next up: headlight bracket [emoji106]

Thanks guys [emoji106]
I got some more stuff done today
- fairing mounting "arms" shaped and welded to the main bracket
- got the DZUS locks on there as well
- instrument mount cut, tack welded and test fitted...
Next up is tack welding the instrument bracket to the fairing mount and then...
That team hammer bike is sweet!
I got my showa shock today, can't wait to test the bike with this upgrade [emoji106]

All the electrical components where distributed on the subframe so I'll have to make new mounts and extend some wires to make them all fit in the seat hump.
First, the battery tray tacked on
I thought the fairing mount would be recyclable but then figured that it would be too much work to...
Thanks! And you're right, I actually chose Öhlins because they're not much more expensive than Wilbers etc. but I can get them in the correct rate for my weight and they are linear instead of progressive. Linear springs are supposed to work better with cartridge emulators... and I plan on...
Re: Endurance inspired SV650
and here is some progress...
tail end disassembled (trickier than you would think!)
fairing off
a whole bunch of curvy plastic...
testing with a borrowed seat... doesn't really work because of the subframe's passenger seat mount and grab rail
here's the...
Hi all,
After doing a few projects on 70s motorcycles I picked up a '00 SV650S in the Spring and spent my Summer riding instead of wrenching. Good fun!
However, I got the modification bug and heavily inspired by XTR Pepo's amazing builds I have started rebuilding my SV into a late 70s...
