I would agree mostly... The gl500 I'll assume is a SilverWing.. Very close to a CX500 can make an interesting Scrambler check out CafeRacer Garage on Youtube for an example but true not a project for a first build maybe...but who are we to say...
Oh and I perminatly afixed the speedo magnet by drilling a recess into the hub and uses 2 part epoxy to secure it.

Well I know no project bike is ever done but I can call this one done for now. Its all inspected and has been out on some all day rips and its doing well. Some items that needed fixed were a dent pounded our of the rear rim a couple of new spokes and truing. Also a PO had overtightend the oil...
Its legal and all the lights are on and wired now.. Still needs mirrors and a bash plate... Cant decide on options... Flipflopping on a few modern items like hand guards....
