I guy at work just got a new rim and rotors for his harley, and he got this "Dry coating" which protects the rotors, and looks like powdercoating...I'll get some more details from him
I've used High temp paints on Rotors, driving will clean any surface...
Yep Working on a 80 cm400t cafe, Same crap with the tank. Bead blasted it, enlarged rust areas with burr bit, and welded the holes up. :-\
Down the road you might need a new tank >:(

A guy at work has a harley he built, and he uses a single carb from some old 400+cc dirtbike, runs excellent ???
If time is money for you, I'd suggest mikuni carbs
