I'd say you either ordered or were sent the wrong kit, the long shaft kit is for the GT500 with PEI based stock ignition.

Are you certain you ordered the correct kit from Powerdynamo? There are two types, one for bikes that had points stock (short shaft) and another for the later 500's with the PEI based stock ignition (long shaft).

Thanks guys. The Coyote is pretty incredible. Oh how far things have come. My last Mustang was a '96GT that I bought new when I graduated from college. I thought it was pretty fast then...it had just over half the Hp of the new 5.0. :)
